Etheric Light From Xur? Yes or No?
I am just curious of the community's standing on whether Xur should sell Etheric Light or not...
If you chose "Yes", please mention how many Strange Coins you think the Etheric Light should cost?
If you chose "No", please explain why you do not want Xur to sell Etheric Light.
My answer is Yes. I feel that it should be available to all players by way of Xur. Maybe one a week, per character, for 25 SC... I personally have plenty of Etheric Light from playing, but I have no problem with it being purchasable.

2 RepliesYes, but only occasionally, and make them 25-30 Strange Coins. From my understanding, Etheric Light is super easy to get from Trials. If you're like me and happen to be awful at PvP, Xûr would be a nice alternative.

2 RepliesThis is a terrible idea as it ruins what little achievement reaching 34 had. In all of destiny's expansions, hitting the max light level has required you to do end game activities. Raids and iron banner. But, with HoW you could also hit 34 from nightfalls and the other endgame activities. It wouldn't make any sense If I could farm typical crucible or strikes to hit 34. Hitting 34 is already a common thing, making it possible with xur would make it even easier. 34 is already so easy to get, why make it any easier! Also, I know people mostly want it for weapons but seriously, 34 PoE isn't that hard... And neither is getting to 6 or 8 wins in ToO.

But it's so easy to get. If you can't do 34 PoE, put the controller down for a bit, relax, and try again.

Meh. Elites is too easy to get, infact WAY TO EASY. I'm sitting on a stack of 55 Elites and thats with a bunch of things already ascended.

I personally have plenty of Etheric Light from playing, but I have no problem with it being purchasable.[/quote] I posted something similar awhile ago as part of a poll as to whether it should be either a guranteed/possible drop in weekly heroic strikes, i got a generally good respond and i would tend to agree with your quote above and would love for it to happen however i dont think they will go to it any time soon and i know some members of the community dont agree that xur should sell it or it be given as part of a match made activity. Only time will tell really, given they have mentioned in passing that there will be new experiance/upgrade path in taken king i will wait and see. Can only hope really, until then i will do iron banner to get my etheric light. 2 RepliesWhy????? I have 50+ in the vault and i havent done a skolas for over a month! I have never recieved etheric light from a nightfall so i could easily have more. And all my weapons and multiple armor sets are ascended. I think this dlc was a joke with the etheric light being so easy to obtain but yet there are people who want things even easier?????

Etheric light has so many avenues to obtain it. If you really need it it's really not that hard. Xur shouldn't be a solution for everything, if it takes no effort to obtain it then it loses what little value it has.

Also, if he ever did sell etheric light for whatever reason, it should be limited to 1 per week across all characters.

Should be earned as it is now, yea you earn coins and notes but those are so common now it's too easy to get items from xur, and it would ruin end game activities unless you do ToO which everyone isn't good at
