No one complains about the warlock exploit in the Crota raid so why should this be any different?

PVP vs PvE. That's why. PvE is more a free-ish (heavy on the ish) area. PVP however is pitching against other players, and exploiting is bad. Exploiting = cheating, when dealing with PVP. Remember, Crota can't take a company to court for free exploitation.
