Hunter exploit bannable offence?
The hunter Gunslinger exploit should be a bannable offence because the play is knowingly use a bug, glitch, whatever you want to call it to gain and advantage over the other players in game. To me that the definition of cheating therefor bannable.
Edit: This community is one of the worst communities ever. "Oh let use the broken game mechanic to our advantage because we suck at the game and can't play legit because we are horrible people"

Not really a bug, because it just depends if you have Ashes To Asset on multiple pieces of gear. Just hunters taking advantage of it.

However, if bungie started banning people who abused a buggy in game mechanic that just popped up, everyone who completed a raid would be insta-banned. Because no one would run the crota bridge legit and not many teams are good enough to complete oracles and templar legit.

I.E hitting the change character screen even though we know we aren't supposed to do that, we are effecting the gameplay and manipulating connection to our advantage, which is bannable. And exploit, in this case golden gun glitch, is something that is coded in the game that they did not expect. This makes it bungies mistake, which we are exploiting (see how that word works?) Now I know people will argue (bearing in mind I don't use the exploit and it pìsses me off) because this exploit is coded in, and is a mistake on bungies part, no player can be punished by bungie, until They forewarn us the ban hammer will be coming down on us for using it. There is a small difference in exploit/glitch but they are important. You can get banned for causing glitches, but exploiting a glitch THEY created I isn't punishable at all. I.E pushing atheon off the edge = exploit = safe Kneeling crota = glitch= people should've been banned. Argue away

No ban maybe suspend, but the definition of an exploit is to manipulate game mechanics in order to gain an unfair advantage . It is against code of conduct and terms of service so them can legitimately be banned for it.

I would say a month ban if they've continued to use it for ToO. They are doing it intentionally, and deserve some kind of slap on the wrist, a full out ban from the game they paid a full amount of money on? No. Just a month without being able to run Trials seems fair.

Just counter the swarm grenades with a gear piece with ashes to assets and throwing your own grenade in the swarm to fill up your own super. Stop crying like bitches and adapt or avoid as long as there is no patch.

Dude, I don't like the exploit either but don't be so dramatic. It's not a bannable offense in my opinion but it definitely needs to be addressed quickly.

It would be like Bungie banning every player who ever cheesed a raid. No one is modding a console or manipulating the game through 3rd party software/hardware. It's simply a grenade that works in an unintended way with the ashes to asset perk. It's not a glitch nor is it a bug, it is a developer oversight. Too many stupid kids (and adults) jumping to conclusions and thinking they know what they're talking about. No one will be banned and after E3 Bungie will have put out a fix and you can all go bitch about something new, incessantly and to no end.

Bannable?!? Why not shot their families as well while you're on it!? I think it's as bad as using thorn. Everyone knows this weapon is unbalanced and unfair to use. But it's no offence to be banned!!! That's just totally overreacted...

Getting banned for using a grenade in pvp get real, happened to us 2/3 different matches in trails last night, once you know about it it's quite easy to counter, we beat every team using it. Stop crying about every little thing that doesn't go your way, thorns, shotguns, blink strike, last round, there all there for use to use and exploit. What next hawkmoons too good because it can one hit you, or grenades n horseshoes is too op in crucible because you can't take cover ?? Where does all the whining end you can't please everyone. Being reading about people's controllers getting hacked if this is true those people should be banned but for exploiting general weapons and perks... No way

The best possible answer is "we don't know." because Bungie doesn't have the strictest or most detailed banning streak. And the whole term "bannable offense" is really not needed anyway since bungie reserves the right to ban any of us at their own will. Something we all agreed to when we accepted tos. It would be better to ask "do you think people should get banned" for discussion purposes. and IMO it should get people banned.
