Is this helmet available in RNG?
The ISTANU-GNT Razor helm for the Warlock was the first Crucible legendary helmet you could get from Lord Shaxx and it was my favorite helmet. Unfortunately TDB made it obsolete and I made the mistake of dismantling it. But with HoW letting you upgrade with etheric light I want to find this helmet again.
Which brings up an interesting topic: should the Vanguard and Crucible vendors circulate gear they've had in the past? I think it would be a great idea.

What you need to do is run the tiger strike playlist over and over again. When rare engrams are the award at the end they can be decrypted into vanilla Destiny legendary items. As for what you say in the post I definitely agree. I would love to see the old armor designs come back and trade out the new ones. My thoughts for how this could work is that they cycle through them daily where one day is Vanilla gear and the next is DB then HOW.

Bump! I was just thinking the same thing! I love collecting warlock bonds, marks, and cloaks. My vault is full of 'em and I can't collect any more, but there are some from vanilla and TDB that I didn't get my hands on, but would love too. They usually have really cool quotes when you inspect it too.

Grind Tiger strikes. If you get a blue engram from rewards it may turn to legendary armour piece therefore maybe that helmet.

Yep due to all the awesome items in game I think it would be completely reasonable to rotate armor weekly simply for cosmetics.

Yes, vendor gear should rotate weekly. I, like many others made the mistake of dismantling great weapons (ie Swarm, Zombie Apocalypse, TDYK)

You can get vanilla gear from tiger strikes although they are insanely rare (rarer than exotics imo).

Maybe have her give a few weekly quests that can reward classic gear from Vanilla on up through the DLC's so players can actually strive for old gear. That is, if Bungie actually puts in a Transmog system later on. Otherwise, won't it all be redundant with TTK? Or did I mishear and they are going to allow the continuation of item ascending? Either way... there are some classic guns or armors that I would like on my lock and titan.

You might get it from RNG but you may not get the same perk roll on it, unless you jus liked it bc the way it looked.
