Halo, as a series, spans over the galaxy, whereas Shrek's does not, therefore leading to practical defeat by stagnating the population by simply blocking out their sun with High Charity (Covenant holy city), or something. Halo is not Spartan 117, and Spartan 117 is not Halo (as a whole, that is). [spoiler]We all know how many ways this will end: Shrek-based reality is limited to one planet. Halo universe has Halo Array, Precursors (who can mess with everything and somehow walk out unaffected), the Composers (7 of them!?), and the Ur-Didact who would probably be happy enough to compose the entire planet. Then there's the Covenant, who would glass the planet because it's inhabitants are human, and they are too resistant. Halo is not one person. Halo is a weapon designed to wipe out a galaxy's worth of life; it is an array of massive ringworld superstructures monitored by monitors and can be fired safely from the Ark, where a part of Mendicant Bias remains. If you specifically refer to Spartan 117 VS a green ogre... The Spartan always knows where he is because of the motion tracker, therefore he can easily (if Halo 4) use hologram to deceive the ogre to falling off a cliff, or in other circumstances... Well, let's just say the Covenant probably jailed the population or glassed it all.[/spoiler]
