I agree with OP. Its a way harder than legend whisper and there are way more places to mess up jumps. Imo its not the kind of challenge that the average player is going to feel rewarded by “getting good” like most of the commenters have suggested…
-
Zero Hour is not hard. There are only a few actual fights, it's mostly jumping puzzles. How some people have such huge issues with jumping, I'll never understand.
-
Another that never did it the first time, the timer was 20mins on legend back than also.
-
With modern movement, I don’t see how it’s an issue to be honest. I used strand to move across the map fairly quickly.
-
Remember when getting an exotic used to be rare and difficult...
-
i run celestial/xeno on hunter, the after the tank dies i switch to strand with navigator and an edger edge sword. once i get to the rally flag i go back to celestial and use whisper. on my own i can solo to the rally flag with 0sec left, but as a team i got there with 6 minutes remaining.
-
My reality, got it done on legend first try with 30 seconds to go. I’m a vet, and ran it dozens of times first time it came out. Failed MANY times. Keep at it guardian.
-
It's a bit tight, my complaint is more on the ads involved than the time. A lit of them walkers/brigs/turrets, take **** for **** damage until you reveal their weakspot, ( not turrets or course) but it's definitely doable
-
If only the original mission wasn’t the same amount of time aswell… Before you whine “well it’s longer now”, so is Whisper. I couldn’t beat the original in that time by myself, now I can beat it in the original time limit with a bloody Crown of Tempest Stormcaller lol
-
man there are so many lazy players out there. i wont even call you a bad player because you dont have to be a good player to do it in 20 mins. watch some vids, learn the route, run it a few times and you will get faster. theres no reason why you cant get to the boss fight with 5 mins left which is plenty for a full team to beat the boss.
-
the one out of touch here is you
-
I get it, it is a fairly hard mission with the timer and everything for people who aren’t hardcore gamers but once you learn the path you can run through the mission pretty easily and quickly. My team did it once for the catalyst and to learn the route then the next time we did it we had 12 mins to spare at the final boss.
-
It really ain’t that hard tbh, I two manned it with my buddy. Learn the route and run riskrunner for the majority of the mission.

Skill issue, get good

Original was 20 minutes and we weren't half as powerful as we are now. This mission was designed to stress fireteam efficiency. Keep trying or don't. They gave us 20 additional minutes lol

Someone I know, who played it flawless on Legendary and solo, said: there's not much room for mistakes. That brings it to a nutshell. You have to practice, OP, to be perfect. But Bungie - on the contrary -, made so many mistakes, that should also a little more forgiving in their mission designs. There should be a decent reward, for playing like the one I mentioned first, but the weapon, already existent and only with a few upgrades, should be accessible for a broader spectrum of players.
-
It’s not that bad. I did it with a group and we did it on our first try. Just keep practicing it. You will get it.

Edited by Ray: 5/19/2024 12:44:05 PMIt was 20 mins YEARS ago and we were nowhere near as powerful as we are now. No one complained then You new players do nothing but cry when you can’t get things done instead of leveling up Oh and Bungie already came out and said it’s supposed to be like this, so no changes are happening Skill issue

normal solo 2 tries done hard lfg group 1 try done
-
I wouldn’t mind seeing the timer uped to 25 minutes.
-
It was fine 6 years ago, it's still fine now. You can use grapple, eager edge and movement exotic to make the jumping easier and faster.
-
My team beat the legend version on the 2nd try due to relearning where to go. You’ll be alright - just keep trying.
-
No disrespect, but sounds like you need to invest in developing your skills. Im by no means a top tier player, and we completed it on our first attempt and we did it with a clan mate that is absolutely terrible at high end PvE and jumping puzzles. You need to master the jumping sections (use swords, grappling, dashes, etc.) and dominate the ad sections with builds.

Maybe Legend content isn't for you and you aren't good enough yet to clear it man, improve and come back
