Hey guys, it’s been awhile since I’ve played and I’m curious. If I buy shadowkeep would I still have to buy forsaken? This might be a stupid question but I want to make sure

Hey there. No, you don't have to purchase Forsaken if you don't want to.

For Shadowkeep i believe they said that you would just have to buy Shadowkeep and thats it.
Just for future reference, you would get better responses in the Destiny 2 forums. In Offtopic, Destiny 2 is banned.
All maps and locations will be unlocked to everyone on Oct 1, however if you want to play Forsaken Specific quests/missions like the RAIDs you need to buy Forsaken and/or the DLC that came during that time. This is my understanding. Bungie did state at one point that if you want to start playing destiny now all you need to purchase is ShadowKeep going forward.

You seem like a nice guy so I'll also be nice. You posted in the wrong subforum. In offtopic, any post related to destiny gets attacked. You will probably get better answers in the help forum.

Hmm, you would get more answers if you changed the #Offtopic tag to #destiny2 But to answer your question, I frankly don’t have much of a clue.

You should definitely ask this in the help sub-forum, as I am not sure how many of us here in OffTopic are buying the DLC's anymore. I will say this, I had heard that there was some type of plan that Bungie was working on that was going to make it where you did not have to have the other DLC's, but I don't know if that was just a future plan or just them talking about things they were thinking about trying. Best of luck on your quest for the answer!
