720 RepliesDear Bungie, I have a little bit of free time so I’m writing this because there is that .1% chance that Bungie might read this… As much as it hurts to admit you did make a good game. Destiny had and still has lots of potential, potential to be one of the best games yet. Overall, I think you’ve done a decent job so far, pretty average. But we as a community don’t want destiny to be an average game, we want Destiny to be the best game; we want our money’s worth. I don’t understand why you guys refuse to do anything we ask. It’s like you have short-man syndrome. YOU have to come up with new ideas. It has to be YOU that makes the game better. We have to play the game the way YOU intended to play it, that’s not right and you can’t expect that. You’ve got to let us play the game the way we want, let us make our own decisions, strategies, and paths. WHERE YOU WENT WRONG: *You false advertised. I remember hearing that we will shape and eventually become our character. From what I’ve seen there isn’t the slightest bit of character customization. In fact everyone looks the same. We, guardians, want to stand out, we want to be unique, and we want to be remembered, so let us. Solution: Let us color our own shaders, let us make our own emblems, make our own ships and sparrows ect. *You went behind our backs. Bungie, you have a relationship with the community. We look up to you and trust you. Please from now on give us insight on big decisions you guys make, ask us our opinions and take them into consideration and see how we respond. You kind of just dropped the ball on us with the exotic shards. Not that it’s that big of a deal, but nevertheless you betrayed our trust. *You ruined our strategy. When we go into a raid we have a strategy, we design specific roles for specific players. Not everyone is the same, some of us are better in some areas than others. For example, in VoG some people are born to hold the relic, others don’t know what button cleanses us. In the good ol’ days the player with the weakest weapons would take the relic, the players with the stronger weapons would stay out and the players with oracle disrupter weapons would shoot oracles. It was a simple good strategy and there was nothing wrong with it. This wasn’t a “cheese”. *You failed to deliver a plot. I’ve heard that you lost your lead story writer and some others but nonetheless there isn’t a story for destiny. The order of the story doesn’t make any since either. For example, restoration should be the last mission on earth, not the first. There should have been 10-20 story missions on Earth before you even go to the tower and get off the planet. Earth could have its own story. The main mission would be find the warp drive and get to the tower. Along the way you could encounter tons of side quests for better gear. There needs to be safe havens like guardian outposts where AIs provide side quest and mini games along with venders for trading. And why do we explore such little areas of the huge planets? Surely there are fallen, hive, cabal, and vex beyond the Cosmodrome. The Moon’s story could be about exterminating the hive and forcing them out of the Hellmouth. How about we explore those tunnels that go on for millions of miles and discover hidden rooms, solve puzzles and get passed traps to open doors and get further and further. After the moon’s story we could work with the queen to wipe out the vex and find the black garden. The Venus story could be about discovering ancient ruins to find hints about the black garden. Then finally we go to mars and investigate the cabal and destroy the black garden. There ought to be around 20 main missions for each planet along with 200 side quests. Each planet should take about 10 hours to 100% complete. Then the DLC’s you guys have should bring 5 to 10 story missions with 20 side quests a raid and 3 or 4 strikes. The DLC’s could take place on Mercury, Titan (Saturn’s moon), and Europa. I thought of this in ten minutes I’m sure you guys could do better. *You sold your soul to the devil. I mean of all publishers, Activision? Really? I’m sure they are the underlying reason that the game is the way it is. Obviously, you guys needed another year to make something like the story I just mentioned, and I’m sure they were breathing down your neck to release the game so they could fill their fat wallets. A delayed game will always be better than a rushed game. WHAT YOU HAVE DONE RIGHT: *You guys are constantly working to make the game better. I understand you fixing it one brick at a time which is great. I look forward to reading the weekly updates to see what is new coming to destiny. I also appreciate that you guys are working to troubleshoot the connection issues week to week as well. *You fix the exploits. We the few who like to earn our rewards appreciate this. It sucks to know that all the hard work you put in isn’t worth it because some noob can get better rewards in half the time. *You’re consistent. At least we know you guys are out there. *You fix the bugs. There is nothing more frustrating than having to start over because of some stupid bug. WHAT THIS GAME DESPERATLEY NEEDS: 1. Increase the glimmer cap - With xur selling tier 2 weapon upgrades at 8k glimmer it’s hard to keep up especially if glimmer is shared across 3 characters 2. More vault space (PLEASE!) – We like to collect our precious exotics and legendaries 3. Another mode or two - Almost everything can be done in a day 3x over there needs to be so much to do that it can’t all be done 3x over in a week 4. More legendaries and exotics - It’s an MMO, there needs to be LOADS of LOOT 5. Faction wars - Seriously, factions are practically useless 6. Combined arms, Salvage, and Inferno need to become permanent - There are not enough modes + we love First Light and Bastion 7. More limited events in the tower constantly - Sometimes you need a change from the weekly grind to spice things up 8. Ghost shells - Plain ugly white is boring he needs some style for his corny dialog 9. More strikes - playing the same ones get boring 10. A better use for the cryptarch and venders. - They are useless Most likely I wrote all this for nothing but I had to get it off a chest and voice my small, quiet opinion. I hope you take some things into consideration. 11. Increase maximum XP level. - 20 is not enough, players shouldn’t be able to restart characters and get them to 20 in one day just so they can do the raid again. With a longer story like the one I mentioned the XP cap could be 100 and the light level could be 130 for VoG and 132 for CE P.S Since the game lacks a lot of content it would be nice to add some content free of charge as an act of kindness. 1: Some of the young gamers can’t afford to buy new content every 3 months.
