Guys playing as girls
Is anyone else creeped out by this? I have yet to meet a legitimate girl gamer and think that they are all dudes in disguise. IMO

1 ReplyI honestly don't get the big -blam!-ing deal. Since when is making your character look a certain way meant to be representative of how you actually look? Does this mean that you expect people playing as exos and Awoken to actually be exos and awoken in real life? Who gives a shit if a guy wants to make his character model a female. Maybe it's more aesthetically pleasing to him, maybe he doesn't like the aesthetic of the male player model. I honestly feel horrible for any fireteam that has you as a member since you obviously can't ignore how people in the game look and just play the -blam!-ing game.

It is not uncommon to fear what we do not understand. For what it's worth: I like bad b*tches and angelic heroines. From appearances to vocals. All day, everyday. Make of it what you will.

1 ReplyThe real question is why are you so bothered by this? I'm assuming you see a female character and millions of thoughts fly through your mind. Is she hot? Does she live by me? Will she be impressed enough by my gaming skills that she will go on a date with me? Am I actually going to have girlfriend for once in my life? Will I actually be able to touch a boob? Oh wait it's a dude... Guess it's back to jerking it in my mom's basement.

This topic has been done to death, again, as far as myself there used to be many games were the hit box was different for a female because of her size, so smaller target.

Nope not bothered at all here. Female characters are just plain better looking. When games stop pushing male phenotypes that are boring I will switch back to male characters. That said Male exos make the best titans (something about the look just works).

Why? It's been normal ever since I played Metroid. And Tomb Raider, the reboot especially, has cemented their badassedness. There's other games that have female leads that were pretty awesome... But Samus and Lara could individually make the case that no, it isn't creepy when you're that cool.
