If we are all going to relate it to money, then you have to think about it in how much time you put into the game. If you play 60 days worth of time, and the base game was $60 then technically you're getting your moneys worth because you're only (technically) paying a dollar a day (and that value will go down the more you continue to play it, meaning you're getting more than your moneys worth as long as you continue to play and continue to enjoy the game). For the DLC (it being $20) you'd have to not only want to play the DLC content a lot, you'd also have to like it to get your moneys worth.
Considering how many times some people have run the Vault of Glass for better gear I don't see why getting your moneys worth out of the new raid should be too hard.
I understand where people are coming from when they say they wanted more story out of the DLC, but is story content really why you're playing the game? I'm genuinely curious, I'm not trying to be an asshole. Players rerun the same couple strikes so many times a day to get either vanguard marks or try to get good drops (or whatever other reason you want to run them). I wouldn't know if people continuously rerun the story (other than the daily or if you start a new player). So I think people are getting their moneys worth because they're getting more strikes, dailies, and an entire new raid to get better gear and run 1000 times like the VoG (except get better gear). Isn't that why we play the game? To continuously level up our player and get better stuff?(while also having fun with our friends or strangers or whoever we come in contact with)
I kind of rambled so if anything doesn't make sense I apologize. I'm not trying to start anything, I'm kind of just putting my opinion on whether or not people are getting their moneys worth out of the DLC and why we actually play the game in the first place. I think as long as you like doing raids and completing strikes (and considering the repetition of the same few strikes we've been doing) I don't think it's that hard to get your moneys worth out of $20. (or $35 or whatever the expansion pass was?)
Hell yeah it is! I don't understand why so many people complain about this. $20 isn't that much money. I'm by no means rich, but I've spent a lot more for a lot less entertainment. I've easily spent more than that on a round of drinks at the bar or going to a movie. Seriously, hasn't anyone been to a pro football game? That's an easy $50-$75 a ticket for 3 hours of fun. I think people just need something to complain about.
The first raid took me about 6 hours to beat it. And I have beaten it countless times since. I paid £40 for a cod game and the campaign takes less than 6 hours to beat on veteran... So this guy does have a point.
I do like vog better , juz for the fact of drops, but I agree , I have no regrets , I even bought the season pass wit the next dlc even with all the bitching hahaha *stands up*....WHAT!!!!)
Yeah beginning part is epic! Especially when everyone stands in the circle fighting off the hive waiting for the bridge to form. That shit had me screaming at the top of my lungs lol
100% agree. Base it off other dlc like Borderlands , halo , CoD etc and it has tons replay value compared to the others.
People bitching need to go back to those games and remember what $15 bucks in dlc used to be. Or they just need to play the raid blind for a couple hours and have it blow their minds
