So...who likes farming upgrade materials?
I sure the hell dont. Its tedious and stupid.
"Oh man I can make my gun stronger...I need to go to the cosmodrome for 2 hours and pick some cabbage off the ground and glue it to my gun so it does more damage."
And who the HELL has so much of this crap they sell it for marks?
"Well I just finished farming for 8 hours...im gonna turn it in for 5 vanguard marks because I didnt have time to run the 10 minute strike to get the marks. Gonna go lick a window now."

Edit: to clarify, I have three level 30's. One of each class.

When I first started playing I was seriously distraught as to why there were no chests around to loot WHILE YOU WERE KILLING STUFF.

"Oh, you're a chosen warrior brought back from death to defend mankind against unspeakable cosmic evil using some super-pimp gear? Here. Take the afternoon off from your warmongering and pick some flowers so you can upgrade your stuff" I get that farming of some sort is part of the grind, I'd just like to see it be more plausibly executed in the game world... like, why not scavenge bits from downed enemies instead?. Running around killing and looting corpses makes more sense than interplanetary horticulture and geology field trips.

They should let us buy the materials from vendors. Helps get rid of the glimmer and the amount of ether seed, black wax idol, blue p, and resupply codes I have.

The only time its good is when you happen to pop a chest and you get 12 cabbages, ammo synth, shard or an exotic or something you were not expecting. Lets face it, we all expect crap from the chest most of the time. I remember opening 11 chests in a row on mars and I got 1 relic iron in each WTF......

I enjoy it but do not spend hour upon hour doing it, otherwise it would get dull quickly. However it would be nice to have other means of obtaining materials, even if it was from dead enemies (if we have a use for it, surely they do to!)

I don't spend a ton of time at farming, but I actually find it kind of relaxing.

Farming is a drag... I really wish they would implement a system similar to what Skyrim had where you could find materials in the field but also buy a limited amount from venders.

I think many people go about it in such a manic way, trying only to get exactly what they want in such a way that they are not really playing the game, just a very narrow part of it, rinsed of anything else, hence the "this sucks" threads popping up daily. If someone [b]chooses [/b]to do things the most boring way possible... they should[b] expect [/b]boring. Not that anyone in this place would ever admit to being the author of their own fate...

I hate farming. Mats should be purchasable for glimmer, marks, motes or strange coins.
