All about Jackolytes
Let's discuss this thing.
What is it, what does it do, how long does it last, is it one time use only, are there any hidden effects?
I'm currently at work and I'm curious.
If all it is is a consumable to change appearance, I think everyone is going to be highly disappointed. It could at least make rare or higher engrams drop more often, give a 4x multiplier to glimmer gains, increase chest rewards or give max stats (100%) to the player using it.
EDIT:
What we know so far -
1. 30 min consumable, from postmaster. Stack of 3. Just one.
2. Strange sounds can be heard while wearing it.
3. Pumpkinhead Does not work for everyone (glitchy)
4. Jackolyte sometimes drops from Hive enemies.
5. It changes your helmet into an acolyte Jackolantern.
6. Having completed the nightfall seems to be part of #3
7. Xur sells an extra item if you visit him after freshly using one. (Flight of shadows, changes respawn animation for 24 hours.)

11 RepliesI like the Jackolantern item but I was really hoping they would decorate the tower and maybe have a few halloween shaders and emblems. I feel like that wouldn't be too hard they could even do a Halloween themed strike.

Wouldn't show up on my warlock. I did complete Nightfall so that may have been the issue.

4 RepliesWhat nobody realizes is that the package said Hallow`s EVE! That means that there will be a diffenent thing on Halloween day. It may just give you another Jackolyte or whatever like a shader or candied ether seeds. Or there might be a bounty to collect candy from 200 enemies and be payed glimmer of other junk. You just have to realize it is not Halloween today. That would be funny if it gave every few people a unique costume or shader labeled as that costume like a red and black one labeled *Vampire*.

I actually completed the Nightfall, yet I still have the flames when I put the 2spooky4me pumpkin on. It's just glitched for some people.

4 RepliesIt also buffes you a bit against damage, and it will screw with you, like making your screen say contacting servers yet you never leave the game.

G'day, Can anyone confirm that you get a buff either damage or extra coins from hive enemy's with the head equipted? Also Im not able to play but can anyone confirm that you can in fact collect them as drop from hive yellow bars? Thanks for your time
