PSA: Don't take Sept 9th off...
The servers will crash and you will spend the entire day groping your game case and most likely doing inappropriate things to it since you won't be able to play the game.

4 RepliesSeptember the 9th 1-drag myself out of bed 2- have a big shit to empty out the system good and proper 3 - Jump into to the shower,get nice and fresh 4 - brush my teeth 5- put on my socks . 6 - head to gamestop 7 - pretend nobody is loooking at you because you only put on a pair of socks 8 - purchase Destiny 9- install updates that will take hours because everyone hitting the servers at the same time 10 -finally updates is done 6 hours later. 11- servers struggling ,go to bed and play on the 10th 12 Repeat steps 1-5 and then jump 13 13 play Destiny

I'm just getting back from vacation on the 9th so I'll probably have to working a 10hour shift to catch up with all the email.

13 RepliesI don't think Bungie's servers will crash but I am certain that there will be trouble on PS and Xbox for digital downloads and whatever updates we need to install. It's out on the 9th which is actually the 10th for me as I live in Australia so as always we live one day in the future. The 10th happens to fall on an Wednesday, smack bang in the middle of the working week. So I have actually taken the following week off instead. This means that I can install the game/updates on Wednesday night. Dodge whatever server hiccups and extra patches happen in the first 48 hours (yes I will play but only a few hours a day) and then sit down on Friday evening for a full week of glory! Ok the glory might be a stretch as I am just an average gamer but it will still be glorious in my mind :D

My scheduled days off are the 9th and 10th so I was in luck but I also got the 11th and 12th off too lol just for good measure

I heard they got hundreds of thousands of peeps in the beta playing no prob and this is a company that has perfected online gameplay, matchmaking and server structure. I really don't think you thought about this a lot unless you really are just trolling.

7 RepliesThey will not crash why? In the Beta they opened Destiny for free and 4.5 million people got on the servers and the whole thing crashed. Bungie learnt from experince how many people to make the servers cope. So no Bungie Destiny servers will not crash one the first day because they all ready tested for massive overload and made changes. Be Brave.
