Halo Master chief collection is not remakes but ports, we are getting:
Halo CE with a re-mastered campaign and its original multiplayer with ALL pc maps included. running at 1080p AND 60fps
Halo 2 with a re-mastered campaign (with beautiful CGI cut scenes from Blur) and its original multiplayer with BXR, SUPERBOUNCING, and glitches intact for nostalgia, ALL THE DLC including pc maps. at 1080p and 60fps.
Halo 3 campaign and multiplayer and with all its DLC Running at 1080p and 60fps, with lighting and texture upgrades.
Halo 4 campaign and multiplayer and all its DLC 1080p 60fps
Total Maps 106
AND halo anniversary multiplayer which is 6 maps made to run on an xbox one engine to feel like halo 2. Including stuff that was cut from classic halo 2 such as the Gungoose (mongoose with guns), more interactivity with the maps, the assault riffle and silenced Smg.
AND access to halo 5 beta from December 26 to January 22 ALMOST a month.
ALL of this on dedicated servers!
We can either choose to play only one halo, or all of them mixed together in a playlist. This Is ONE disk, running four games and engines, re-mastered, for $60, its fanservice to long time halo players and a great way for new Xbox one players to try it out.
So come this year I will be playing both Destiny and Halo and having a great time, while you all bicker.

3 RepliesEdited by Keeyop: 8/8/2014 6:59:37 PMMeh, I'll give it a miss. I have very specific memories of the Halo franchise, that I don't want to see tarnished.

14 RepliesIt's obvious they want to change Halo, I'm not buying.

20 RepliesI played Halo: Combat Evolved when it was released in November 2001. I've played every Halo game. On every map. In every mode. As of November 2012, Halo has been dead. And now the corpse has been dug up, dusted off a bit, and a gold veneer has been glued to the rotted flesh and broken bones so folks with nostalgia goggles can lust for the worst, most broken multiplayer in that corps' history. Toy with the past. Enjoy it. I'm moving on to the future.

10 RepliesEdited by COW GUY: 8/8/2014 7:45:26 PMThe mcc looks good(even with halo 4). Halo 5 is not a halo. It is an abomination. Mostly because of ADS and 343i. Enough said.

34 RepliesYeah it's a cool novelty if you already own the system. Halo went downhill at Reach and completely died with Halo 4, for me personally. It's a cool idea but I don't think it's a system seller for most people. I'm not going to pay $500 to play games I played over TEN YEARS AGO! The only and I mean only way I'll even think of getting a One is if Halo 5 is as good as 1-3, and is an arena shooter again. If Halo 5 isn't an amazing title then I see the One being in 10x the hurt it already is. Halo was the only reason to own an Xbox, and that franchise has been fading since 2007. I have little faith in Microsoft's first party devs and their ability to create a great new IP.

Must I remind you Desticles that IGN gave Destiny a 7.8, and they gave Halo 4 a 9.8.

5 RepliesEdited by LOLdragon89: 8/11/2014 7:25:04 PMI am educated. I still think it's a bad deal. $60 for four old games, only one of which has graphical improvements. Compare this to Metro: Redux. That may be only two games for $60, but on Steam, you can buy just one of them for a reduced price on top of a 50% if you own either one of the games already. And while Metro: Last Light is mostly unchanged, Metro: 2033 has all the graphical improvements provided in Metro: Last Light AND all the improved gameplay elements from that game as well, plus some new weapons, and a few new side areas in addition to all DLC. That's a better value, in my opinion, and the way a "collection/remaster" should be. Here's a comparison: Metro: Redux - 2 old games — 1 game with better graphics, better gameplay and new content - All DLC - Price drop for previous owners - Don't have to buy entire collection Halo: Master Chief Collection - 4 old games — 1 game with better graphics - All DLC - No price drop for previous owners - Have to buy entire collection You could make a case that Halo: MCC is aimed at new players of the franchise while Metro: Redux isn't, (Though Metro: Redux is also coming to Xbox One and PS4 for $60 as a complete package) but the point I want to push home here is the Halo: MCC doesn't impress me and people who already own all four of the games on that disk are going to be very disappointed, unless they're still in pain over the loss of Halo 2 MP and never being able to play Halo: CE online. And I know everybody is supposed to be super hyped over having 106 multiplayer maps to play on... but that's divided between four games. No cross-play. You think it was difficult getting a match of Halo 3 in the obscure playlist you liked back when that game came out? Think of how much more difficult it's going to be when the online population for each game on the disk is effectively divided by four... and that's the people who ARE online and aren't playing campaign or Forge or custom games.

4 RepliesBeen there Seen that Done that Played it all. I'm not wasting my money on a re textured game that's had it prime time. I loved halo 1-3 , it was the best games, but it's time to move on.

2 RepliesI actually think it was a little derpy to not allow spartans to run on the norm without having an armor ability. In a real world scenario a soldier who cant run is.. oh my god i dont know if i even want to think about how to describe how tragic that is much less a supersoldier who cant run. Also for multiplayer it kinda sucked because sometimes there wouldnt be any vehicles left for you to ride in so youd have to spend like 2 minutes walking from A to B while trying to dog all the warthogs flying everywhere

4 Repliesit's the halo community , one litle misstake and they hate on it.

15 RepliesI always see a lot of stupid comments like "Yay! Let me buy the Halo MCC to play games I already own" -__-

12 RepliesIt's actually 3 games because 4 is complete trash and only Halo 2 is being remastered.

3 RepliesMajor premise: I love Halo AND Destiny. Minor premise: Bungie made Halo AND Destiny. Conclusion: I love Bungie.
