Space Battles!
It’s common knowledge you can purchase new ships and upgrade them over time. Hopefully the next step would be the ability pilot your ship. And better yet, how cool would it be to fight in Space?!
It might be asking too much for the first release but it would be truly epic if Bungie added Space Battles to Destiny.

I'm in! Greatest idea ever. I have collected ships from day one and I have nearly all rare. Missing a few legendary....fun fun fun.

They should have space battles in the Crucible and Story.

1 ReplyI've said this before somewhere. The space battles should be exactly like Star Wars: Battlefront 2. A guardian battleship vs a fallen battleship with space dog fights and being able to enter their ship then destroy it from the inside out

I would like some flying missions like in the other Halo games or like Star Wars some in space and same close to the ground.... Please :)

We need space battles cant believe they have not put it in the game lets hope they add it in the dlc because having a varity of jumpships you can upgrade and buy is stupid if you never get to use them

Idk man space battles are very easy to -blam!- up. The physics is really tricky, especially with these next-gen consoles because people want more realism, I know I do. I don't thinks it's an innately bad idea, I just don't think it's feasible to do. Not on top of everything else. Maybe in a few years down the road. If done properly it could be -blam!-ing awesome tho.

I'd be happy if during the loading screens we got to use our ships to blast through an asteroid field as a mini game. They could even attach achievements to it and cosmetic rewards at certain points. Just a thought.

Absolultly! I can deal with the massive amount of content Destiny will surly have. But the thought of having a ship purly for load screen is just obserd. Bungie please read these posts and consider the space life for what it truly is...SPACE! Youve done an amazing job with the beta. The ground assults, everything custom and changing. And I'm sure there will me expansions and DLC. But please consider putting just as much effort into possible free roam space as you have with the land assult.

I agree with your idea but Bungie said that the ships are not manually drivable but I hope they can change their minds about it.
