Says deerkiller777, a type of hunting that primarily involves stealth..

I am terrible at stealth I will forget whatever bounty is given I snipe about as well as a chihuahua on speed but why do I pick a hunter?
It's that cloak
-
It's probably the feel of going either lone wolf, assassin ,merc, or just being a bounty hunter. Originally I wanted to be a hunter because of the. Feeling of being a mercenary but I'm going human Titan now

Hunt or be hunted

2 RepliesI don't think you should hate something simply because you don't understand it. That being said , I to will be a Titan. One with an in your face fighting style. And I also feel that sniping from a distance is boring. I still wouldn't mind having a Hunter on my fireteam that completely loves sniping and doesn't understand why I love up close fighting. If you can't make sense of that then you only need to make sense of this. A good team does not need to understand the choices they each make. But they do need to respect each others choices. Just my opinion though.

1 ReplyEdited by TotallyNotDrazil: 11/5/2013 3:00:59 PMPeople don't take the hunter for stealth, they just want the sniper and the damage buffs. Even if all classes can use all weapons. They can all stealth around, too.

Cuz capes and snipers son
-
Who needs to be stealthy when you got a sniper rifle and a trusty hand canon on your side
-
We like huntard, yes we do. We like huntard, so should you.

3 RepliesWhy Hunters you ask? - Clint Eastwood - Hans Solo - Bobba Fett - Malcolm Reynolds

1 ReplyBecause their 50% armor and 50% cloth making them not to heavy and not to weak. Faster than Titan stronger than warlocks
-
I'm a Jedi. Aka warlock.
-
1 ReplyHunters are a fresh take on the FPS class option... But i'll be rockin an exo titan
-
2 RepliesWhat I want to know is why everyone talks about the hunter class as if their the only ones who have snipers. The only restrictions there are for each class, as far as play style goes, is based on their "supers," which we know little about; and presumably armor types, which we know nothing about. You can be just as good at being a stealthy Titan sniper as you can a hunter.

I like taking out enemies from a distance. There's some weird sort of satisfaction in watching someone through a scope just before you kill them. You can see them and where they're heading but they are completely unaware of the fact that someone hundreds of meters away is watching them and just waiting for the right moment to pull the trigger.
-
I don't like being stealthy classes either but I don't see the hunter as just being that. The abilities that we've seen from the hunter so far say that there is a lot more to it. Honestly we haven't seen any stealthy hunter abilities yet, with the exception of the short teleport if you want to count that. Based on the description given of the hunter, they're more like rangers, frontiersmen, or outlaws rather than just stealthy fighters.

All due respect*.

5 RepliesAhh the usual "love" being directed towards those of a stealthier playing style lol.... Me thinks some of our Melee Mad brother & sisters have been violated by the Snipers long arm too often!!!!!!! There is nothing like finding those few positions you find in a game to deal woe & hurt to the other side ;) When your watching & leading there star player through your scope he/she has decimated your defenders stolen your flag in a CTF game powered there way back to almost there home base to have BANG as you "one shot one kill" them then to add insult to injury some lesser player does'nt revive them but takes the flag lol.. ITS NOT THE QUANTITY OF KILLS BUT THE QUALITY...

1 ReplyEdited by Vice Wolfe: 11/5/2013 3:57:32 AMBecause bone armor and snipers. That's why. Also, according to a lot of the polls I've seen around Bnet, the classes seem to be spread out pretty evenly. I think people just talk about the hunters more.
-
Haven't you noticed how when you run into a firefight guns blazing you get shot in the head by some sniper? That is me, watching the busy lanes just waiting for a head to pop up. In more direct terms, stealth gameplay is fun for the same reason whack-a-mole is. You wait for your prey to show itself, then you take it out knowing that you're safe from anything that they could do to harm you.
-
Because I've always loved decapitating enemies from afar. Every game I've played, with the exception of Skyrim, I've been the sharpshooter.
-
Lol your name is such a paradox then ;) Really though, you haven't even seen beta gameplay, only alpha builds, don't be so quick to judge.
-
same here bro stealth in a shooter is like playing a manager in a basketball team ... pointless and boring but it does add diversity in a game so....
-
Yeah, hunters are just so stupi- BANG! Splat!
