Is Sony now part of the problem as well?
It seems like they've done absolutely nothing to improve D2's situation...
Did they spend 3 billion on a company just to block anyone else from getting it and allow it to burn....?
Would things be any different if Microsoft purchased Bungie instead...?

1 ReplySony brought bungie for their live service expertise when the market pointed to it being a smart idea to go for live service as destiny 2 was doing better than. Bug winds change and because bumgie retained autonomy which was a mistake for the price tag. Than most of sonys other live service planes failed. It's all on bungie and Sony for not just cutting loses sooner. Microsoft would have just shut bungie down by now instead of dealing with such a disaster

Where did bungie spend that over 3 billion dollars at? Pizza & junk food?

3 RepliesNot immediately taking over when they bought the company was their mistake There is a reason Microsoft checked their work, because if Halo failed, the Xbox would have failed Don't leave the college dropout alone for the weekend at your mansion with the Ferrari and the credit card, not going to turn out well

2 RepliesMicrosoft didn't want to deal with it, so they passed on Bungie. Sony bought Bungie and have done nothing to improve things. Doing better than Sony in this case isn't saying much. That's a low bar. But I'm sure Sony's failure is still Microsoft's fault somehow.

Microsoft didn’t want bungie due to their astronomical unsustainable costs .

1 ReplySony looks at if the company can/will make them money and by how much. If they don't see it Sony shuts the studio down.

1 ReplySony will want a return on its investment. Increasing monetisation and reducing investment in the game is probably because the screws are being tightened. It definitely hasn't paid off. I don't know how much input Sony has had into all of the poor decisions and I don't think anyone here does.
