No, I'm not talking about how Cheesecake Factory is one of the few casual dining restaurants that makes their own food.
I'm asking the question why we have special and heavy weapons with the Heat mechanics.
Do you like Taco Bell?
Maybe that's a bad analogy, lol.
Do you like Heat Weapons?
I do. Very much so.
Here's a tangent on that same wavelength as I reverse engineer what's going on in-game per Bungie's development pattern of iteration.
The vault kiosks aren't getting fixed.
They're being deprecated.
Eventually they'll all be heat weapons.
Or... my grand prediction includes a stamina system like Marathon in Destiny.
As a part of our custom nano-shells.
Our Quicksilver Nanite Shells.
Remember that rumor? No more classes.
I think that's happening.
But like Path of Exile. Where any class can do most things. Classes in PoE are more like starting points. In fact, exactly ... the massive skill tree everyone talks about, each class has a different starting point.
Prismatic is the elementary precursor of this.
I bet this is what Tyson has been working on personally.
No new subclass ever, lol.
Build a Guardian.
Curated shells... sounding familiar, but unlike Marathon... completely modular, very little barriers or restrictions to customization.
Energy probably will be the restrictor plates... like the armor mods system.
Heat/Stamina use might be the second limiter.
Of the Fragments and Aspects you slot.
And I wager there will be tradeoffs.
High energy choices will use less stamina or increase your heat bar because of the bigger buy-in.
Cheaper options will use more stamina or decrease your heat bar.
Taco Bell uniform seems cool.
Imagine.

+1 for the Demolition Man reference (Taco Bell) I've spoken about this concept before like POE... ...its a shame really. Destiny is not that... at least for me. It was always an action adventure vault filler shooter.... (meaning light light RPG) ... meaning you need content .....you need activities TLDR you DO need the width/spectrum of content and not the depth of character. Depth of character is cheap for development and on resources so I understand the business reason... ...yet a model for busting out content/things to chase... and yet make it appealing even in a limited/FOMO style release can be done well (business-wise)... FOCUS on the action... pile on the mindless or tough enemies... go lighter on mechanics ....so I hope the dude is not focusing on something that will not appeal, IMO, to a majority of players looking to relax and have fun with what is Destiny -
Sounds good, as long as they create a Baja Blaster to go along with it.
