Account Linking and Unlinking
So I just bought a PC and wanted to play destiny with my account I had back when I played my Xbox, I logged onto destiny and saw the cross progression screen so I scanned the QR code with my phone and came to find out my cousins steam account is still linked to my bungie account from years ago. I tried to unlink it to link my actual account I just made come to find out YOU CAN DO THAT ANY MORE. So now I have to hope someone from bungie can help me since there's no direct way to contact them with my situation. I'm aware of the new changes they made basically a year ago in March 2025. I'm just curious if they can make an exception this one time so I can have my 100s of hours of progress from my Xbox linked to this steam account that's actually mine. I do not want to restart at all considering I've been playing since D1 and the entirety to D2. Please I'm begging someone to see this that can help me.

5 RepliesHey there, as of March 2025 it is no longer possible to unlink platform accounts. Bungie will not unlink anyone's account or change their cross-save setup under any circumstances, and have not made any exceptions. Because of this there is no contact channel for anything along those lines. You could consider playing the game on the XBox for Windows PC store version through your XBox account.
