So, that dungeon was actually fun, and hilarious, especially with all the small unexpected things that occurred.
Those moments had my fireteam in stitches, and those unexpected touches makes the experience so fun, even if you have to restart.
We had enough fun to actually play it twice, and as an older gentleman, staying up until 3 am is not a great feeling the next day.
The headache, the irritability, I need to watch myself or my wife will kill me.
Thanks for the good time, we need more of this, this was nice.

3 RepliesI don't do dungeons, ever. They're such a slog, everyone wants people who KWTD and I honestly don't care enough about the loot to be super srs. This sounds like it might be a bit of a laugh. Hm. I might have to gather some courage and try it if I can find anyone who isn't going to hang their entire existence on whether they have a flawless run or not, because my inability to jump is LEGENDARY.

1 ReplyEdited by Dooodley: 12/15/2025 10:53:31 AMIt still has things that annoy me. The speeder part on the first encounter is something I could do without - or at least extend the time you have to find a new blight (or whatever they're called). Perhaps there are better paths but on the paths I've taken I've come across two segments where you cant really see ahead of you and have to make a 50/50 choice - and if you're wrong you're pretty much screwed. I'm not enjoying having to restart because of a racing mode when I'm playing a shooter. On the second encounter I've ran into the boss not coming back to the main room - which is annoying. And overall - and this applies to everything Bungie does; Way too many cycles. It's always too many buttons to click, too many things to destroy, too many plates to stand on etc. Whenever they have a concept they should always cut whatever amount of cycles they have in mind in half - and they'd be close to the sweetspot. Then again, if it was up to me we'd have one mechanic and once that was done it was just one long burn phase of the boss. I'd rather have adds interfere more during a boss battle than run around looking for stuff. Lastly, the loot is absolute garb. You have to put on a bunch of crap or you'll end up with two tier 2 bonds - like Esoterickk on a solo flawless run. It's ridiculous when you can run a VG Arena, do nothing and have trier 5's rain on you.

I don’t have the time nor the dedication to this game to attempt a Day 1 contest mode, but I did a normal run today and I liked it. The mechanics are not too cumbersome, and the location are really nice. And Zealous Auto sounds so good.
