Nice changes in the latest patch
After the latest patch, I am able to get B+ rank using normal quickplay even as a level 550 player. Finished off 6 missions. Feels similar to last year where I used to run 27 missions with 3 characters over a week.
Have to try Arena and Crucible challenges.

Agreed. Portal scoring seemed off last week. Got downvoated lol. Now it seems like it was prior to renegades launch.

1 ReplyI am still a F2P player. I usually buy the game with the annual pass at the start of the last season of the year at a discount. I am taking about the Vanguard alerts. At the start screen it says C+, but in most cases I get a B and once a B+. In the Battlegrounds FootHold, we ran through everything so quickly not allowing extra mobs to spawn at Skywatch that I ended up with around 9000 points and didn't get B. So, it looks like a combination of getting 10000 score and finishing fast. But if I had the rewards pass, I would have a B. Every run was less than 10 minutes. There was also a high value target which spawned on some runs, but we did not always manage to capture it. In all cases all players were rank 9 and above and we all knew where to go and how to kill fast. Feels great after slogging through Ultimate. IMO Bungie should have implemented this once they got negative feedback about forcing higher difficulties at the start of EOF.

Arena ops, my beloved. Ironically, now everything feels like I'm doing it on level 10 difficulty after the Season of Sweat we had last week. But I'm glad to have something simple to do back again, get some rewards, and then dip. It's refreshing, and I wish it had been in place from jump.

I'm also a big fan of the changes, I just haven't actually seen the change kick in yet. Edit: It might also be because I'm LL533 rather than LL550? Edit 2: It works in Fireteam Ops!

What rating are you getting in Vanguard Alert Quickplay? I see a low B before loading in and so far always get a low C. Haven’t a clue what’s I’m missing.

Really?!?!? I was struggling with Fireteam missions to get above a B rating this past week, only ran a few though. Finally got one on my last run last night, always got A ratings in EoF. Hopefully it will be a happier week this week. Whines he that still has not even finished the campaign missions yet - they take longer and I just have not had the time - welcome to December!
