Seriously. I'll admit, I wasn't happy seeing you guys bring Star Wars into the Destiny-verse and I still do hope you all don't lean too heavy on it. But I finished the main campaign and I have to admit, it was fun! And you did it in a way that fits. I'm still exploring and doing the side quests and exotic missions but I really am impressed and I'm happy to see hints of the old game from D1 and early D2 in there. It actually FEELS like it used to to some degree and that's a huge improvement, IMO. Love the Cantina. Love the lounge area with a certain chicken hanging out. Love the factions being back - even if not the old ones, it's just nice having factions back. Blue is great. Aunor ... Tentative positivity. Still mad at her for some stuff from Forsaken. lol. Bael is well done (Don't want to say more and give anything away, but all positive!). Lots of emotion and surprises throughout. And the best part, was the last two missions of the main campaign. Not going to say what happened or anything. Don't want to ruin it for others but, Bungie, PLEASE, I BEG YOU, bring that last part into the game like it used to be. We had a BLAST. I just wanted to keep running it! Also, the cutscenes were really nice and that last one ... YES.
Overall, very well done. A big improvement from Edge Of Fate and loving the depth you're bringing back and interactions with the NPC's. It felt like we were working with them and not like they were just off in a corner somewhere. So much of that was really missed.
So, yeah, cheers, guys, and thank you for all the hard work. Please keep it up. This is definitely a positive step! <3

We are becoming well known for being the most toxic gaming community in history. I despise our community when they are this toxic. Thanks for making this post. Positivity is rare these days.

Although the actual combat elements of the story were pretty samey (hordes then brigs), they were enjoyable and given that I’d just taken a month plus off Destiny due to complete boredom this was all quite a nice surprise The story itself was decent enough and I’m not any sort of Destiny lore nerd second guesser “actually, right, Drifter wouldn’t do that for reasons, OK” type so I’ll take it as it was The lightsaber is terrific fun, fair play, and I haven’t even tried it on Titan yet which must be hilariously broken with Stronghold and Banner and I was delighted that it made the second unskippable Fire and Ice run final boss fight super simple compared to the first time I did it which I enjoyed far less This isn’t to say that boredom won’t set in again once I’ve completed the seasonal content (eg, doing a solo same old portal mission tonight felt like an entirely different and far less fun game even with the saber) but hopefully they can drip feed some more non-endgame content over the coming weeks for us average solo players and keep me away from Metroid Prime 4 until after Christmas…

3 RepliesCouldn't agree more definitely feels like older destiny, new weapons are cool, new activities are cool, story was cool, starwars wasn't over the top 1 for 1 copied, genuinely enjoyed it and looking forward to doing it again on my alts. In comparison to EoF, it's 10x better. My fingers crossed they remember what they did for the next expac, too!

Finished the campaign last night and I definitely enjoyed it. I'm a Star Wars fan, so enjoyed the set pieces and music for sure. Imo, the new weapons are the best part of the expansion. My God, the lightsaber is so fun and effective, and the blasters are great. Good job, Bungie!

I honestly didn't expect
Beal having his hand shot off by drifter.
But there were also some very SILLY parts, such as the
Sparrow flying through space
thing. It was so out of place imo and made me not take at all the game serious in that moment.

Edited by COMBATICUS: 12/5/2025 4:32:48 PMThis dlc def was calling for some space fighting with our ships. The one setting where it would have been perfect to have space ship battles. And they failed. I'll admit this dlc is way better than EoF. But it ain't bringing ppl back

3 RepliesA chicken pecking around a social area… Man I kinda envy people who are so easily pleased. I guess the old adage is true: ignorance is bliss

Yeah, I'm enjoying it so far. Let's see how the season develops. We're definitely going to need a healthy sprinkling of events along the way to keep interest up.

Great to see a positive post for once. I enjoyed it too.

9 RepliesDid you spot the Drifter back story retcon? Or the fact that the nine have been around for years and did nothing. Oh except help Ghaul invade. Suddenly they are now a huge threat and are building the almighty mark 2. This on top of the ridiculousness of edge of fate makes them one of the most powerful groups in destiny.

I enjoyed the hell out of it, it felt fast and frenetic, and I agree with you on the part about the final mission, now I see what all the fuss was about. Hopefully that's a hint of things to come!

I love it when someone tries something before formulating a solid opinion. I'm glad you enjoyed it despite your initial thoughts.
