Another pointless update
BUNGIE
GET RID of timers!!!
What part of racing through activities at break neck speed is not fun for for all players do you not get?
on top of that
There is the issue of - not every player has the gear to make builds that kill stuff fast enough to get through in those times.
Seriously, you keep trying to make timer adjustments when the real issue is the timers themselves. Just eliminate timers, grades and scores based on time. It should be about fun and working to complete activities, not how fast you can do something.
The system you have with the portal is NOT working, and no amount of fooling with it is going to fix it so all players are happy with ti. It is still driving your players away not attracting them and enticing them to play more. I could make better decisions blind drunk than you are now.

This game is so unbalanced ,once you hit 450 everything is jacked . totally not worth the grind ,bungie is burning this game to the ground , nothing to grind for or worth the loot. no strikes no GM in the portal,just lame long azz grind for loot that's dropping 10 below my power level even with a platinum score b+ that says 452 reward . but why even grind past that point ? no loot ,l already have all tier 5 stacked stats. guess just wait for new update in Dec see if they have anything in the loot pool or a new subclass . or fix exotics to be tier 5 . lmao bungie what were you thinking?? and why is strongholds not fixed so lame.

19 RepliesGreat post. I watches a youtube video the other day, a podcast with 4 streamers discussing the present Destiny. It was like watching paint dry or water turn to ice, but a couple of remarks stood out, proving that this content is specifically aimed at streamers and indeed, the top 1% skilled elites. One guy said that the power grind was worth it because he loved the harder stuff and couldn't wait to start getting the sweet loot from the Ultimate game modes, in other words, farming the tier 5 gear. The only female on the panel added later that, all the top tier loot should be available from the hardest content, and should only be accessible to those who earn it. These egotistical, arrogant, conceited individuals, who make their easy money from playing games the same as we all do, are the main targets for the way this game has changed and deteriorated into the mess we are in now. I wonder how many days Bungie would last if their only revenue was from the tiny minority of elites, and if all the average players stopped buying into the game, because it seems that they are the only ones they care about. 🤬

3 RepliesI agree I'm stuck getting tier 3 and 4 drops because I can't do the conquest mission solo. so I'm stuck at level 7 guardian. All 8 people that I used to play have quit the game due to the heavy grind so I'm here solo. I won't lie I'm almost done too. I was a day one d1 player. Sad

Last weekend I tried the new activity.Timer expired,all lives taken.I finished it,but then played another game.

1 ReplyI stop and kill enemies in pretty much everything other than solo ops and even when I run pretty much anything solo, I'm still able to comfortably finish in the time limit.

They have made the power grind tedious and un enjoyable. +2 if you lucky with RNG and if it doesn't kick you before hand. Just make D3 cause D2 is for the 1st time really dying. Destiny Rises a mobile game that has nothing to do with Bungie is better atm. That's how bad D2 has gotten.

Timers are doable but not fun at all when they impact score and such. Only exception to the rule is various missions that make sense like zero hour where you are trying to stop a heist etc. Timers would be good as a modifier you could choose. But it does suck 90% of the activities now require looking at a clock instead of having fun.

1 ReplyTimers aren't an issue. Granted this is Caldera which is by far the easiest Solo Op The 1st run in the video was with all old trash gear and I still had 5 minutes left on the timer. As you can see these were far from stellar performance runs. I was purposely NOT doing try hard speed running to test things. as you can see I'm in the kinda old age bracket. Yes I stream, but don't call myself a streamer. I don't think you understand how the point system works. I don't think you understand how the Portal works. I know you don't understand how game design works well enough to make any kind of decisions that are going to make "all" of the players happy. The only thing I think you understand is how to get attention on the Forum.

It is utterly tragically amazing how tone deaf Bungie is and their near ignorance of how the players feel and all the feedback they've given. But I also get it, Bungie went all-in with the Portal system and EoF and can't make a 360 degree turn and make a new release in a few weeks - it takes months, if not a year. And, with a small crew that just more or less is giving Destiny 2 a small band-aid here and there, we only see sandbox changes that is not helping the larger issues. But what Bungie can do is be open with us, speak up frankly and talk to us openly. What is the plan? And I don't then refer to sandbox changes, but what is the major plan about Destiny 2's future - if there is one?

Remedy - abolish the portal and allow easier levelling through ordinary engram drops from enemies anywhere or completed activities. If the last 50 levels have to b harder to obtain, then guarantee a +4 or +5 prime drop from all completed activities and Raid and dungeon round completions... and that's all raids and dungeons, not just 1.

Loaded into a Fireteam activity at Master level and was hit with a ton of modifiers that made the enemies feel like GrandMaster. Time expired halfway, we wiped on the boss, I said “forget this” and loaded back into Borderlands.

The best news is many of the top streamers, you know the ones who wanted crap like this, are leaving Destiny. So if they [b][i]HATE [/i][/b]the state of the game maybe there's hope for us that Bungo will fix things to make it fun again. [b]Hahahahahahahahaha - never gonna happen[/b] they hate us and obviously don't give a s about this being a fun game to play our way with our gear and our time!

16 RepliesI agree. I play for fun, not to be timed. Work is timed. School is timed. I'm not jumping through Bungle's timer hoops because the non gamer execs can't come up with anything else.

What exactly do you not have access to that lets you get through content fast?

Edited by Krait' Bane Of Oryx: 9/17/2025 3:33:54 PMJust Grab Goldtusk or any lightweight sword, drain ALL ammo and have no ammo mods on, and junp and light atttack i ran through 5 Master matchmade games in around 20 minutes getting a full set of 3 dot gear, and one random gun most of those times, then log off next week when its removed, untill they have another game breaking "bug" personally i beleive they did this to get some players back so they see the Neververse store( since nothing we actually WANT is in the "EVER" verse store and the vendor lies " eververse is not a title" she sais well it is bc if it were it would have all game* items avalible to buy for bright dust silver or other materials BUT IT DOESNT
