New gear locked loadouts sucks… like, let me use the exotics I want to use!

And they’re both not fun… I like using Gemini jesters in PvP and I like using relativism in PVE but can’t use either. I want to play what’s fun to me😭

All other PvP activities you can use whatever you want. It's 1 PvE activity, you can do the same strikes without ths t modifier and use whatever gear you want to. No need to do the 2 activities that have that modifier. If you've tried them and don't find them fun then isn't the solution obvious?

Actually it’s a modifier for getting better gear in pve so it’s not just tied to 1 pve mode.

The poster is talking about the 2 activities that has the modifier not the modifier itself that's optional to use, but as I said not sure why anyone would select it when locked load out provided a better score multiplier

The poster said they wanted to use specific items not get specific rewards or titles. I said it 1 PvP and PvE activity that locks you to using new gear and can play the same activities that don't have that modifier. It's max 10% damage increase and max 15 damage damage resistance for using featured gear. Rewards are the same and based on grade for activity completion. Yes you get a higher multiplier for using featured gear but can still get A grade rewards without it.

I AM the poster! 10% damage and 15% resistance simply for using new gear is unacceptable. And yes, you CAN get rank A without new gear, but it’s the same as saying you can clear a raid with all blue gear. You can get it done, yes, but it’s about effectiveness. Using blue gear is far from satisfactory. This is a game, remember. Not a job. I want to play in MY way, with MY gear, without being at a detriment for it. Bungie doesn’t want us to have that, and they’re slowly doing what DE did to Warframe, where new activities require you to use anything but your own loadouts.

Yes it's a game. Again, you can play how you want. The small percentages aren't that detrimental champ. I don't care what you think bungie want. Stop having some deluded relationship with developer. As you said, it's just a game. If you make it chore then you've only got yourself to blame.

So 2 activities you can't use gear that isn't featured. You say it's not fun to be locked into using the featured gear. Logical response is exactly what I said. Then you say you want higher tier gear. Truth is exactly what I said, you can earn higher tier gear elsewhere. Now you want guardian ranks? Ok. Wear featured gear and do what you don't find fun. Or don't and forget about a higher guardian rank. Maybe make up mind, do you want to have fun playing a game or do you want chase some digital reward in a videogame that's going make you miserable.

I mean, I don’t need to tell you everything I want to do or achieve in this game. My point still stands; being locked out of content unless I use new gear is unfun. Suggesting to not play that content does not solve the problem.

You're not "forced" to play Destiny at all so, by his weird sense of logic, nothing in-game is broken because you can just choose to quit rather than complain. He lets his clan carry him through content that isn't Patrol level or a basic Strike for a reason. Just don't respond to him and your day will improve.

The only other real way to earn T5 is through the DLC, which of course, is locked behind a very unappealing £35 ($40) paywall.
