Survivability is in the toilet

Having to have 100 Health stat in order to get the healing one recuperation mod used to give me is killing my survivability for my aggressive builds. At this point, pure strand Hunter is kind of up a creek, as you only have one DR source and healing from orbs is nigh on useless. Why am I actively being punished for playing a non prismatic subclass that can’t stack all the subclass buffs in one go. I’m feeling like playing those builds is the only way I can even attempt Hunter classes anymore. Non prismatic subclasses have really suffered, and the changes to healing has only made it worse for those classes.

    I agree with other comments that the new stats system isn’t panning out as expected, yet. Except for third iteration, all my old gear is much better than what I got in the legendary campaign. I ran it with a prismatic titan, 150 melee and 115 weapons, by all accounts, according to the rework it should slap harder and regen melee much faster. In practice I have barely noticed any difference with before the rework, where I was playing the Legendary Neouma campaign. So the over 100 stats, and powerful specialized build is not delivering yet. I doubt my current build gets out powered until tier 4 or 5 start dropping, which is a good news. The bad news is, the new system clearly isn’t as impressive as they made it sound.

    • The couple dozen people who stream the game cry for harder difficulty. Bungie obliges. To the detriment of the player base. They however lack basic awareness.

    • As this new expansion comes to the end of it's first week, it's becoming more apparent to the more proficient guardians among us, that the numbers of this new system do not add up. All these changes to armour going up to 200, and weapon stats and mods, are not doing what we were led to believe...i.e. our old loot would become pretty much useless because the new loot would make us more powerful. This is [b][i]not [/i][/b]the case with the relatively small amount of data that has been analysed up to yet. But as the days go on, when players start getting towards the higher power caps and tiers, I'm sure that more information will be revealed by the number crunchers, and then Bungie will have another big issue to answer for as to why we are no better than before, but were sold this unpopular new system on that very basis.

      • Unsurprisingly Health, Class and Weapons (a wildly stupid stat to begin with - increased damage in general and more against guardians???) is the meta. Mobility getting removed means everyone's slower than a paid of concrete shoes when walking, and some of the armor set bonuses are frankly quite broken imo, like the one set that gives you kinetic tremors for free. I really didn't like what i was hearing when they announced this and I still don't.

      • try the set bonus where kills with freshly drawn and freshly reloaded primary ammo weapons heal u. it wont give u all ur health back but its still definitely nice to have

      • We were really squishy before, so why did they think that removing the damage reduction was a good idea ?

        • You definitely don’t need 100 health stat on strand hunter. Between the dive bomb and/or threaded specter pulling agro away you should have a easy time leaning a little bit more into the class stat.

        • Use the new seasonal exotic. It’s void damage. Use devour. That’s kept me alive in legendary solo which isn’t hard like past expansions. Also that exotic is great dps.

          • I think prismatic buff stacking should be nerfed to put them more in line with the OG subclasses.

            • For my strand hunter I just use RDM and threaded specter to not heal me, but just direct enemies away from me

            • Hey i have completed it hunter. Hunter have lack of surviving. Only one i manage to surviving on Arc Subclass (Lair Hand Shake). Dont focus on health stat on 100 or plus cause you get 70% health orb. Hunter normally be Class/weapon mod. CLASS / WEAPON / other mix up what benefit want out for hunter.
