Here I sit at 5am

Just woke up from a dream that felt so real. My parents died. I saw it. That was absolutely horrific. I’m trying not to throw up right now. It’s hard to get your grip back on reality when you’re still half asleep. Anyway, I’m only making this post bc I have no one else to talk to at the moment and I need to get this off my chest or else I’ll get no more sleep. So feel free to ignore it or share your own dream experiences. Good or bad

    • I've had multiple dreams like that, but usually its me meeting a grisly ending, feels painful too. If it hurts getting stabbed, shot, and blown up in a dream I can only imagine how worse it would be to go out like that in real life. I guess it gives one of many possible ways to expect how I end though.

    • I have lots of dreams that feel real. Many of them are totally nonsensical, and result in more of a "how did I ever think that actually happened" kind of thing a few hours after waking up than any sort of real emotions. Things that are physically impossible, and all that. I've got two dreams in particular, though, that did have more significant emotions attached to them. One was very physically painful. You know those little dwemer mining robots from Skyrim? Yeah, one of those was digging into my back. To this day, it's still the worst pain I've ever experienced. Very ouchies. In the other one, the world was literally about to end. There was a big meteor falling from the sky, and all we could do was watch as it slowly came closer, and closer, Majora's Mask style. I ran off and hid, curling up in a ball and crying. The meteor impacted, and I died, which forced me to wake up. Except, since this was one of those dreams that felt super real, I was legitimately terrified to open my eyes for a little while because I genuinely thought I was going to wake up in some post apocalyptic city.

    • The real dreams where you dream you wake up are the worse makes you question if this is a dream or reality maybe your 80 and dreaming of your youth.

    • About once every few months I'll have a nightmare or something and start screaming in my sleep. My girlfriend wakes me up now when that happens. I used to wake up alone screaming and that wasn't fun. Just know it's a dream and don't put too much meaning behind it.
