Play the game how you want to play. Play with double primary, doesn't make sense but alright go ahead
But if you go afk or leave the match if you're doing terrible, don't enter. It's annoying, I rather have someone who is not good and try than a dead weight who believes the game owes them.
Thank you for reading my PSA on what to do as a casual

Watch my teammates get picked Die from being team shot Get called trash cause I couldn't clutch a 1v3 every round It hilarious to get called trash by a perpetual revive token -
4 RepliesEdited by kime: 3/23/2025 3:49:50 PMNot everybody is like you. Here is the flip side. I left a game where a teammate became very toxic towards me because I was not doing as well as he would have liked, even that I was giving my best. I am not playing that -blam!-

4 RepliesThis goes for flawless title players as well. I see them quit more than anything. Like bro I get wanting easy wins but if you’re looking for handouts don’t waste my time especially when you’re dieing first and always running off sightseeing 🤣. I’m over here helping a pve main who clearly doesn’t know what he’s doing and you run off and die get mad and leave. Mean while should know damn well we are playing 3 invis hunters with fusions. I swear that title be getting into people heads thinking they should win every gun fight.

I agree with the OP. This has been the best opportunity for casuals, like myself, to get to the lighthouse since Trials began, and even if that isn't achieved, some good loot can be obtained just by participating. But come on people, at least have a go. If you know you're going to get stomped but can't face it, don't queue in. I know it's humiliating to be steamrollered, but I'm not that good, and have been to the lighthouse twice since this new launch. And win or lose, it can be fun knowing how good the loot is, and with a bit of patience, you can get there. Last time I played, I was put into a match by myself against a full team of 3. But I didn't quit, and getting just one kill in the 5 games gave me a bit of pride, and hopefully the other team appreciated my determination. And finally, staying in a match and having a go at least shows respect towards your team mates.

17 RepliesEdited by Dredgen Truth: 3/23/2025 2:11:59 AMMy philosophy is this: If I am entering a playlist that I, as an intellectually honest human being, know is capable of having bad matchmaking the matchmaking being bad does not excuse me from my obligation to try to win for my teammates sake. I don't care if there's zero chance of winning, I made the choice to boot up the playlist. I don't have the right to leave just because the match feels bad. By doing that, I deprive my teammates of a fair chance at victory. I have seen a lot of people make excuses to otherwise. It really aggravates me to no end.

7 RepliesHonestly, double primary isn't even that bad. Sidearms, SMGs and even Hand Cannons pair well with Scouts, Pulses and Bows to effectively cover all ranges. It's more the guys using two Auto Rifles that don't make sense.

5 RepliesEdited by DooWork96: 3/23/2025 7:27:53 PMMy only question for those who run double primary, is why run two of the same archetype or meant for the same distance. I’ve seen a blue berry with two 600 auto rifles…. I’ve seen a blue berry use helm of saint 14 on an arch subclass… Just why??

All true, but im 100% leaving if i get queued with one more 0.3 kd blueberry this weekend

But if you go afk or leave the match if you're doing terrible, don't enter.
Got a friend/clanmate who will want to leave because the enemy team is too sweaty, and he complains about bad matchmaking. I hate playing pvp with him when he's like that. Played supremacy with him a couple nights ago, went on an 18 win streak with nearly every match being a blowout. Not a single complaint about our team being too sweaty or the matchmaking being bad.

3 RepliesEdited by NotCreative123: 3/23/2025 1:25:15 AMI disagree about the double primary, but I 100% agree that quitters and players who go AFK are the worst. Nothing worse than reviving someone in Trials only to see them in their menu Actually, someone leaving second round is also annoying. Lol, ESEPCIALLY if they leave because they think we will lose. Like, I'm sorry, but we would have probably won if you stayed!

3 RepliesHonest question, but how many casuals do you think spend time coming on a forum in a game that's ten years old?

Casuals are fodder for the top 10% With that in mind you expect a casual to go up against the top 10% and be just fine about it - still compete, still hang in there, even though they get one shot by a melee, hit from across the map with a broken redrix, or face a whole team of radiant dance machines... You can't be serious...

Agree on the not being afk and trying. On load out choice, this is mostly inconsequential when playing with lag or against people net limiting. Which has been my experience more often than not unfortunately. -
Edited by a lost tenno: 3/23/2025 12:19:25 PMThe only time I ever afk in a game is I’m playing Minecraft or khora prime shows up in her almighty pow- wait wrong games I don’t know why ppl afk in PvP matches, its so lame

4 RepliesI just wish players put a modicum amount of effort into build crafting. And bungie do a better job at guiding them. let them know that resists don't work on armor etc.
-
3 RepliesAgreed. Try and you're cool, imo.

I concur 👍

Yup totally agree 👍

2 RepliesWouldnt have that issue as much if Bungie just made the recent changes into a seperate card that can only be aquired if youre new or are low skill and then those players play in a seperate pool.
