So called nerf did nothing. Still the most free kill primary weapon in the game

Redrix accounts for 25% of all Trials kills at this point in the weekend. Post nerf. Previously 17.8% Khvostov ended week 178 with 24% Fools here are denying how broken it remains and only a few feel like debating them. I completely understand why. Real-Time Meta: Overall Crucible March 18 - March 25 Top Kinetic 1 Redrix's Estoc 52% 2 Rose 9% 3 Crimil's Dagger 7% 4 Outbreak Perfected 7% 5 Ace of Spades 5% 6 The Last Word 5% 7 Hawkmoon 5% 8 Deadlock 4% 9 Khvostov 7G-0X 4% 10 Thorn 3% Overall Real-Time Meta: Trials of Osiris March 18 - March 25 Top Kinetic 1 Redrix's Estoc 67% 2 Crimil's Dagger 8% 3 Outbreak Perfected 6% 4 Rose 5% 5 Aisha's Care (Adept) 4% 6 Hawkmoon 3% 7 The Chaperone 2% 8 The Last Word 2% 9 Deadlock 2% 10 Ace of Spades 2%

1 ReplyEverything can be called free kills in this game, this attitude is so painfully biased its not even funny Translation:"My favorite weapons take skill, the rest don't!"

Edited by Dredgen Araphel: 3/17/2025 10:15:29 PMThey won't deal with pulses until they realize the problem handcannons cause. No other primary except pulses can compete with them at all ranges. Handcannons are oppressive in this teamshot meta where it is better to jump someone then 1v1. Pulse or Handcannon the problem is the drought in special so it better to just sit back with a pulse or blitz with a handcannon. Autos are bad, smgs are ok,scouts are ok,bows are bad, and side arms are niche. It's either Handcannon or pulse and it's been that way since halo. Br or magnum all over again.

1 ReplyThe problem isn't Redrix or pulses in general. The problem is Shotguns.

1 ReplyOr, you could just get gud kid.

6 RepliesDon't let the half wits deter you. It most assuredly needs several more nerfs. Blind fools still want to hate on HC as Redrix has 591,191 (16%) kills in Trials as of this moment vs the 90,611 (2%) kills Rose has accumulated so far into the weekend. 4m kills on endless vale vs Roses 400k. That's why it has 4,022,974 (17.5%) on solitude to Exalted Truths 357k (1.6%) or Crimils 323k (1.4%) on Solitude. That's why total pulse kills in competitive settings completely dwarf HC for months. Cause HC is the best. Pulses only kill faster with less range fall off, bigger mags, higher ease of use, and more forgiveness for missed/body shots. Game has slowed to a boring crawl of Redrix simulator. Pulses themselves have completely outperformed every other primary for months in terms of player choice and total kills.

It obviously needs more power
-
New Dungeon scout rifle ir a good Aisha's, kinetic strand pulse rifle, will delete them, even behind their barricades.
-
Season of the crutch pal. Bungie doesnt want skill they want 50% win rates and ease of use. If they nerf redrix id be surprised if they actually address invis/on the prowl. And thats coming from a washed hunter. Bring back arc strider.
-
Get gud kid.

It makes it so no other weapons can even compete. Yeah, the gameplay gets boring if you're forced to use a specific weapon/archetype. I wouldn't be too upset if it was nerfed a bit more.
-
Headseaker with a ton of range on this thing is even worse. Aisha’s is a great weapon with headseaker and it can’t touch a player in a lobby with hs and range mw
-
Its got under the hood tuning that BXR does not have. They prob will need to adjust its aa cones and/or recoil for it to be brought in line. A six handling reduction & body shot damage reduced by 1(crit dmg remained the same) is a laughable adjustment.

11 RepliesYou're running hand cannon, give me a break.

Blame Bungu.

6 RepliesYou're using nothing but short-range weapons and expected a weapon that can hit you at range to suddenly not do that just because of the change they did? I'd also say running a fusion is more of a free kill weapon than a pulse is seeing as how it takes 1 shot from it to kill someone if they are close enough. The pulse also isn't hard to counter if you actually use a weapon that can hit at range instead of hand cannon and fusion rifle.

4 RepliesThe nerf to the gun itself wasn't big however the archetype got a huge nerf, basically halving the buff it got last time which made the gun meta as is. It's a strong gun but I don't know if it's broken as something like ace of spades. I think the stock roll is just way too -blam!- good and lone wolf is broken.
-
well the reason why it hasn't been nerfed properly is because all you dinguses are complaining about redrix which has a 10%+ usage rate meanwhile bxr has 1% at best and the bungie devs are confused about why it is so strong and clearly the majority of the playerbase is confused on why it is so strong and so we are here. the issue isn't redrix you blam!s the issue is the lone wolf perk. lone wolf is far too strong and does not belong on PR-55/lightweight pulse archetypes. do yourself a favor and actually figure out what is wrong with the gun before making generalized posts like this.
-
It is just very accurate due to aim assist. Any aggressive frame can beat it.
-
I'm surprised more people aren't using the original battler too. I get the redrix is new has better perks and is in the kinetic slot. I used the battler in iron banner and it works just as good. Problem is the frame itself and having that scope. Idk what bungie could do to nerf them without obliterating them

2 RepliesEdited by Griever: 3/15/2025 9:20:59 AMIt's no more a free kill than any other pulse with similar stats. Hell, most if not all of it's base stats are lower than the BXR, and if there's 2-3 things all the comp weapons have in common, it's either a unique frame (Riposte for example is a lightweight despite having the ROF and bag of a deep mag frame), they exchange origin traits for stocks which allow more leeway with barrel/ mag perks, and damn near every roll you'll get will be a good one for pvp, though in the case of Rose, I wish it had good rolls for PvE. Point is, it's MEANT to be one of those "best in class" weapons. The only way to "bring it in line" with other 450s would be to remove the stock, but then it would basically just be a worse BXR if you don't count the traits, inevitably leading to a nerf to the BXR to make Redrix look better, or a buff to Redrix that greatly mitigates the nerf to it when losing the stock perks. A nerf that could easily be implemented on other comp weapons. But sure, let's nerf Redrix some more by removing the stocks. In exchange, I want a Redrix with Arrowhead Brake, Accurized Rounds, Zen Moment, Desperado, Range MW, the weapons base stability and range both to be increased by 10, and I want the AA increased by 5 to match the BXR. Alternatively, give me a Rose with Hammer forged, Accurized Rounds, traits it's not supposed to have like Keep Away and Magnificent Howl, Heavy Grip, and I want it's stability to be increased by 25 to match all the stats on the roll I currently have (Void Elemental Capacitor+Explosive Payload), and I can't remember if I had a range or stability MW. Not important. Deal? Redrix gets nerfed, but I get a god roll, or Redrix gets nerfed and I get an impossible God roll on a weapon I WANT to use, but never have a reason to.

Use it. Make the numbers higher. Force Bungie's hand.

1 ReplyDoes anyone know if they fixed being able to get the curated roll if you got rose instead?

2 RepliesEdited by rrrhino: 3/15/2025 12:31:36 AMOh dear. 5 less stability has left it unusable. Edit. Meant handling

4 RepliesI picked up another from Shaxx when I already had 1 from the 7 placement matches i.e. i was not subject to the bug where other people got Rose Does this mean anyone can get the OG fixed roll from Shaxx without doing the 7 placement matches in Comp?
