DestinyTracker tells me Trials is rigged
Playing solo 5 matches in got stomped all of them teamates afk every match or go to orbit. Destiny Tracker tells me I never had a chance, other team 96% chance to win then 89%, 79%,69%, Hey Sony can I have a refund whats the point of playing this game if its always rigged against my team? Why all the hatred? Anyone else have Bungie issue them the worst matchmaking today?

If you are ranked well below average by elo then it will pretty much always have you set to lose when everyone else average...

2 RepliesTrials is still an almost total waste of time for over 4/5 of the playerbase The changes aren’t very motivating unless you get a lot of rep for losses on the lighthouse passage The dopamine and rewards on the rep passage are pure crap Yeah you can lose your way to the lighthouse eventually but it is so tedious and unenjoyable. There are just better things to do with your time. Like other games or RL entertainment. Bungie acts like they aren’t even competing for our time and they only care about the Skinner box gambling addicts who will play regardless.

6 RepliesThis update with Trials has got me looking at it in a different view. The first week, I went to the lighthouse for the very first time in 10 years playing solo. I treated it like any other regular crucible or iron banner mode. Won the first match, lost about 7, won 4 in a row, then it seemed to take forever to win the last 2. I'm probably below average as PvP players go, but by playing 21 or 22 matches, I achieved my goal and got some good loot. Just play and you'll get there eventually. If you get stomped in some matches quickly, there's less time to wait for the next one. Don't expect to go flawless or do it in the least games as possible. The majority of this game involves grind, so keep at it, no matter how demoralising it may seem. Some games I got the most kills on our team, sometimes I never got a kill because we had a very good player, and sometimes we were completely wiped out. Matchmaking doesn't work, PvP is full of cheats, and the servers just cannot provide decent and accurate gameplay, so don't blame youself or other players for not winning. The main thing is, don't get stressed about it. It's a game and if it gets to you, take a break, but this system has given everyone the opportunity to get to that hallowed place.

1 ReplyDT goes off ELO to calculate the chances of winning but because ELO is reset every season and it’s only week 2 of Trials those ELO numbers aren’t accurate. So if the numbers they are working from aren’t accurate neither is the final calculation.

This old 0.3% tortoise played Card 1 (L) last time, and grinded a 7-win card…only to discover - no visit to the Lighthouse. I got a ton of engrams and a few armour bits, and more than a few halfway decent guns. Okay…no problemo! It was the first week of the all new Sony Trials…and I thought BHQ had actually listened and I was wrong! ❌ This week, I could play Card 2 (R)…and grind out a 7-win card…with almost a zero chance of winning at least 3x in succession - to get an adept toy…otherwise, it’s the lowest loot for my persistence 😉…and probably it would take a long, long time of getting stomped nonstop by 3-stacked ninja hit squads…just the same as it’s always been! 🧐 Erm, no! 👈 Card 1 should also give a lighthouse visit + regular loot, as per! Card 2 should offer super-dooper new shiny Scarab emblems and shaders ! And for the flawless crowd, diamanté eyes and a cheesy grin for the absolutely glo-bright super-super-dooper Scarab emblem! That would work for every level of hardcore, and for us more relaxed fun-seeking Casual players! ✅✅✅ FWIW: I went to the Lighthouse in D1 or D2 early days - it was so long ago! 😉 I won a raffle and 2x Slayers did most of the heavy lifting! I did my best and gave as good as I got! If memory serves, I might have done a wee clutch, too!? 🤔 Anyhoo…if I really, really wanted to go to the Lighthouse…I’m a big fan of the Theme Park ‘Fast Pass’ system…. Just saying! 😁 If I’m going to grind Trials…my time…and persistence…needs to be cherished and respected! 👈👈👈 Just saying! 😉 That is all. Ease Springs! 🙄 MDGA

5 RepliesI had a look through the match history and the uncomfortable truth is that the odds were low because [i]you[/i] were on the team. In almost every match I checked, you were the lowest-rated player in there. While it's not to say that there weren't any unfair matchups, because there definitely were, you being on whichever team lowered their predicted chances of winning. Whether or not the numbers that DestinyTracker comes up with are reliable and meaningful is a whole separate conversation, but, from the data at hand, that's why it says what it says. According to the ELO ratings, you are in the bottom 5%. In other words, well below average. There simply aren't enough players of that skill level in Trials to populate matches exclusively with them, so the likelihood is that everyone in any match will be better than you.

Just played a game had an active team we got slaughtered not going bk into that mode zero progress of any kind so I won't bother anymore. I understand skill difference but the amount of unviable ttk weaponry is insane to me I instantly died to a kvostov the moment I put my head out to engage

considering everyone I've heard who played with a decent, not great, but not bad team did well, IG the improvements were mainly for ppl who played in teams.

I played trials for the first time ever because of the “loot error” going right now. It’s an absolute revolting experience. Im truly unimpressed as I seen some pretty absurd stuff.

I got to the lighthouse in about an hour and a half with a 4 win streak. I had to carry a few teammates along the way and some had to hard carry me. An even trade haha

1 ReplyThe only fair play is CARD BASED MATCHMAKING. I'm sure it could be exploited too and it causes problems but it would stop the blaming teammates constant whining. If everyone has the same to win or lose they play as hard as they can. Nothing to blame anyone there. Today I got a 5 win streak, don't f'n care to reset my passage so I played the rest of the card with beer in my other hand and propably lost someone else their win streak because I couldn't care less about sweating in the rest of the games.
