I think the lighting needs to be tuned and thats about it.
I dont think the lighting should insta kill but should put you near death. Mayb 75% of health bar damaged.
Enough time to move and regenerate if you dont step in another strike

This. The lightning is pretty ridiculous. The rest of the encounter I wouldn't change a thing.
