The new matchmaking system this week…
Is some 💩.
The longer it takes to go flawless and the more games you win, the harder it literally is. And now people don’t wanna play with you if you’re grinding out that first flawless and you have 10+ wins on a card. Flawless pool is infinitely better than this crap.

They had it perfect the first week BUT NOOOOOOOO LETS CHANGE IT….. you know why?!!!! Bc they dont care abt PvP, like im a PvE main and damn are these changes -blam!-

1 ReplyThe highest win total in my fireteam this weekend is only 4 but my last match faced us against players with at least 20 for the weekend. I know it’s not going to be perfect but what’s the range here?

I don't mind them trying different things, but I couldn't get past 2 wins, just 2 wins out of the 13 games I played. I did have a few decent matches, but not a very rewarding experience. Seems like there are plenty of avg./ less than avg. players playing, but you don't have much of a chance when so many games are against 2000+ elo's players that roll over you. Trial is a toxic sess pool. They should make a new PVP event, perhaps something around rumble.

2 RepliesIf your an average player or slightly above average if you dont get flawless on your very first attempt then dont bother because it punishes you for not getting flawless but getting wins.

What would happen if instead of win counts, they kept the flawless pool + grouped people based on total successful flawless/lighthouse runs?

They literally, love to give you something to enjoy and rip it right from underneath you. This game is becoming less fun and the longer you play you realise that bungie is a -blam!-, out of touch from its community, communistic heap of waste

2 RepliesThe stats are gonna be interesting. Gonna be interesting to see how many blowout games are this weekend. Trials should be difficult. Its endgame pvp reserved for the best of the best. Plus if you lose you still get loot.

3 RepliesI went in early on Friday and played some games, wine some, lost some, got up to five streak on a mercy card. Nevertheless, the amount of wins ticked up slowly. Tried yesterday with two other friends who hadn't played at all. OMG we were deep into trouble. Not a single win. We were utterly destroyed by most teams. Just to check, the two with 0 wins went into a game on their own, and basically matched potatoes. Sooo, it is purely based on number of wins, nothing else. A six year old could figure out that this system would only work well if it was rank=wins-losses. Now getting 15 wins and 43 losses = 15 wins and 0 losses. I'm now damaged goods and none of my friends will want to play trials with me.. super good idea bungie

I see folks on LFG looking for [b]one[/b] player with no wins. I wonder if they do this per match? Then just dump the lone player for another? Shocking show!

1 Reply1st week since the revamp where I’ve not played Trials. I’m done with this game mode given the current changes. Revert back to week 1 with a solo freelance playlist enabled and then I’ll be back. The way it is now isn’t worth playing. Can’t wait to read about how the weekly population plummeted because of this change to match based on total wins.

Yeah I'm by no means a great pvp guy. I can hold my own most times and some times I'm a black hole dragging my team down. I used to avoid trials because I didn't want to ruin the experience for my friends. The Flawless pool brought me in because I could go in and not get farmed brutally. This MM is tough man. The going getting tougher when you don't go Flawless seems backwards to me haha

This is currently the worst iteration of trials. I have played maybe 7 cards avg 4.5 wins. Now I just play top 2% players every single match. This is terrible. This is the worst iteration of trials yet. Won’t be playing again till this mode is fixed

3 RepliesThis is an attempt to solve the very exaggerated claim that lower tier players were getting farmed by teams card resetting. And ironically, and hilariously, these people seem to hate this change the most… But regardless it is an attempt and it most likely won’t repeat again seeing how everyone hates it…

3 RepliesNever reached the light house, also not asking for a hand out... just a fair crack at some loot (not adept) as a solo player. Usually i'm just fodder so i don't play but the previous changes to trials changed that. I was enjoying winning a few rounds and the odd game here and there. I liked the previous changes however this weekend seems off. I've won 7 games total yet get matched against players who've won 30, 40+ Also don't care about running up against full teams as long as their around the same wins, isn't that what this weekend's changes are about? All i know is i'm out for now.

They either need to change it back to how it was or make it so that the MM takes into account number of matches played and W/L ratio (so people who have only won one match with a 100% win ratio don’t match people who have won 20 matches with a 95% win ratio.)

5 RepliesI like it, I’m not matching against any challengers or legend ranks Yes my games are generally hard, I’m losing, but I’m not stomping randoms and I’m not getting stomped, many close games! Yes I went flawless, I’m just glad there is separation now
