Title. My ghost thinks im a brain dead idiot, but i've been playing since DB but had to switch accounts cause i lost access.
-
Still my favorite ghost line in the black garden. "So....think you can kill a god?" As vex statues turn around to look at me.

3 RepliesWHAT IF the version of her we meet in BL is from the this time line and the one we met on Venus was from the future or some sh*t. That would explain why she doesn't know us now and maybe she went back in time to tell us about the black garden so that we could halt the darkness briefly?
-
3 RepliesWell they've been doing it for the previous expansions (giving veteran players exclusive dialogue that new or recent players don't have). I cant imagine they'll leave it out for the return of a character as huge as the Exo Stranger.
-
7 RepliesI have a better idea. This will be the first time she ever meets us. Remember how when we first saw her she knew who we were? I want the dlc to have her go back in time and talk to us. We, Éris, or the drifter are the person she’s talking to in over the mic. How cool would that be?
-
Agreed!
-
Edited by Hesh: 8/25/2020 12:51:32 PMEh. What will it matter? She'll more than likely be as terribly written as everything else in this shitshow.
-
Maybe this time she'll have time to explain why she didn't have the time to explain what she wanted to explain on Venus?
-
7 RepliesBungie's been pretty good about that sort of thing. I think they'll have it covered.
-
1 ReplyThe stranger will be the new vender for the new location probably
-
maybe she will finally have time to explain
-
1 ReplyProbably not. Remember the only thing to “carry over” from D1 to D2 were some triumph-like cutscenes that you can ply from the character menu. Yikes I don’t even like calling it “D2” anymore since the content is clearly interchangeable with D1
-
Red war story had a few alternate dialogue sections for new and returning players. Might be something similar with the stranger. Just probably not in any cutscenes
-
The stranger is Ana sister

6 RepliesEdited by WhiskeyHotel: 8/25/2020 1:38:36 AMWhen the title is longer than the body 🤦♂️
-
1 ReplyWhat do you mean helped us? She appears out of nowhere, talks some random prophetic nonses and then turns up at the end and gives you a gun that was terrible and was only kept in vaults as a keep sake. Destiny 1 players should have the option of when they meet her again to go "if you where important you wouldn't of been gone for six years so I can wait 6 more"
-
Beyond Light should focus heavily on Gambit bounties.....
-
Did Uldren mention meeting D1 vets during Forsaken?
-
1 ReplyOh, we more than met. There was much uploading and downloading, if... You know what I mean 😏
-
2 RepliesOnly if they enable it for pc players who also played D1 but started D2 on pc, yes I'm still salty about that
-
Maybe it can mock us for still struggling with the same enemies that gave us a hard time all those years ago. Can't imagine Oryx (who we killed) having a hard time with any number of fallen vandals, but here we are today, living the same struggle.
-
We are all still little Lights.
-
So basically veteran dialogue for owning a D1 save. Wich is actually already a thing. Yes I'd actually like that a lot. Sadly she would still deny it because this one Exo Stranger is one from another timeline it would seems.
-
Saladin never calls the player Young Wolf. I bet Exo Stranger treats us like a bloody stranger too lol
-
3 RepliesI hope that we don’t have an interaction with the stranger like this in Beyond Light What I’m hoping is that us meeting the Stranger is her first time meeting us ,and have the actions that took place in Destiny 1 be the first time we meet her IE Have the Destiny 1 interaction not be her first with us ,I think some really interesting story ideas could stem from that ,considering time travel is involved
-
Your title wasn't long enough
-
1 ReplySo I can confirm that even if this is the “first time we meet her” it could still technically make sense to your original playthrough. Why? Wibbly-Wobbly timey winey stuff. The Stranger is a time traveller and as such the points we meet her in are never necessarily in the same order for her. This could be the interaction with us that actually caused her to go back in time and guide us to the Black Garden. For all we know, she was talking to Eris in present time from her earpiece back on Venus in D1. Dr Who did this, but Destiny actually has somewhat as well with Perfect Paradox.
