When I’m sprinting and jump and land the game cancels my sprint, before the update you could land and keep sprinting. My Titan also feels way more sluggish than normal, was this intentional and is anyone else experiencing this?
Edit: apparently it’s the new controller settings, I’m gonna go mess with my settings in a private match and see if I can fix it. Why did Bungie make “Obese 3 legged rhinoceros” the default settings though, it’s so bad
Edit 2: setting “toggle sprint” and “hold sprint” both to left stick in the custom button layout helped a little, but didn’t fix the issue. I’ll update again if I find a solution or someone posts one
Edit 3:
Try this in custom layout
Toggle Sprint -> Left Stick -> Long press
-EventHorizon999.
Make sure to also set Hold Sprint -> Left Stick -> short press, and it feels normal again on the ground. Jumping still cancels sprint though

Yeah, was wondering why moving felt weird...
-
Yeah and you can hop off your sparrow with X(PS4) or A(Xbox One) anymore with Jumper setup. I'm sure the rest is the same with not having two buttons to get off the sparrow.
-
Its just bug season. Unfortunately i ran out of spray
-
My sprint speeds are messed up as well as my fire buttons. I am on a ps4. Reset the controller and still no luck. quit destiny and put in COD and it works fine. So something messed up with the update.

This feels like playing with a broken controller. I tried messing with the custom button mapping, none of it unfortunately helps. Even when i’m trying to be conscious about not toggling the sprint off by accident, the movement does not feel the same as before. Its unresponsive. It seems activating sprint takes slightly longer, It feels like you cannot activate slide as quickly as before and trying slide multiple times in a row also no longer feels fluid and ”natural” to do. It’s also harder to keep your momentum when transitioning from one movement to another (for example if you jump, slide after landing, and then either jump or sprint immediately after it). My character feels clumsy and so annoying to move around with that it makes me not want to play at all, as if everything was slowed down in addition to the way sprint is now activated and deactivated.

Edited by Guardian1309: 6/10/2020 4:06:31 AMGod YES please fix this. It is a majorly uncomfortable thing to run three steps and then stop especially when you're in a mob situation (eg the new PE!) It makes me not want to play at all till its fixed it feels that bad!

Yes! I thought my controller was broken! So frustrating!
-
Thanks god, i though my brand new controller was already going bad with the non sprinting thing
-
14 RepliesIcarus dash is broken too. They put a delay on double press key binds
-
Idk if it’s just me but for some reason when I press jump mid air it waits till I’m on the ground and does a normal jump again, never had this issue before. The sprint is also very annoying especially if you try to run after sliding
-
2 RepliesYes, slow and sprint lasts for second and then disengages. All good, should see a fix in about a month!
-
You didn't need to write a book. But yes movement seems slow.
-
2 RepliesNo. My movement to orbit then out of game is very consistent and fast.........
-
Super sadly broken, they shouldn't try to change something that wasn't broken
-
Oh good! So it was a bug, I was exactly experiencing that same thing, immediately felt slow and sluggish, hopefully it gets fixed fast.
-
Refund please. Your game has become beyond stagnant. It's nothing but a level chase with minimal rewards and very little new content. If you will do this I will delete the game and never buy another bungie title I promise.

5 Replieshttps://gamerdvr.com/gamer/fort-oink/video/100138469 Since I can’t edit this into the post after DMG edited it, I’ll drop it here. These are the settings i was talking about that fix the sprintlock after sliding

Feels very sluggish and my sprint cancels as well. I’m on Warlock.

I recently bought a new controller that went bad in about 60 days. I couldn’t believe it. The sprint would not stay on. It was the controller’s fault. I had to go buy another controller. Very cheap product. When I logged on today, I thought my 2nd new controller had also gone bad. I was getting pretty ticked until I realized it wasn’t the controller, it was the game. I guess I’ll check the settings and see if I can rectify the problem.
-
Yup. I even stopped to check my agility level because every time I tried to run it was sluggish and erratic.

5 RepliesHow was this not caught when they were testing the update? Oh wait...
-
I was wondering why I felt so slow
-
3 RepliesThanks for posting, I was about to hurl my controller into the trash. Does no one play test this before it is released?

Edited by Audiblegold86: 6/9/2020 11:34:51 PMNew season, new bug fest. Yes, they are called Bungle for a reason. Sounds like there is no point playing D2 until they fix this major train wreck. Maybe after this one, they may consider play testing before release? Yeah, I know. Wishful thinking.
