When I’m sprinting and jump and land the game cancels my sprint, before the update you could land and keep sprinting. My Titan also feels way more sluggish than normal, was this intentional and is anyone else experiencing this?
Edit: apparently it’s the new controller settings, I’m gonna go mess with my settings in a private match and see if I can fix it. Why did Bungie make “Obese 3 legged rhinoceros” the default settings though, it’s so bad
Edit 2: setting “toggle sprint” and “hold sprint” both to left stick in the custom button layout helped a little, but didn’t fix the issue. I’ll update again if I find a solution or someone posts one
Edit 3:
Try this in custom layout
Toggle Sprint -> Left Stick -> Long press
-EventHorizon999.
Make sure to also set Hold Sprint -> Left Stick -> short press, and it feels normal again on the ground. Jumping still cancels sprint though

I'm also having the issue as a Hunter main when my dodge will not activate and instead I'll toggle crouch half a dozen times before I am able to dodge to the side. This has cost me dearly while playing since I am not able to avoid fatal damage when I need to the most. Or when I am sprinting I'll just do a slide instead of dodging when I double tap the "B" button on the controller. I'm playing on Xbox One if that helps narrow it down. One of my friends noticed the sprint-glide bug while we were doing the nightfall and he kept missing essential jumps and kept falling to his doom over and over again.

12 RepliesThey sunsetted sprint.

I'm having strange issues with sniping too. When Sniping, I literally have to pull my trigger all the way in other wise my weapon (sniper) wont fire. I have tried this on 3 different controllers and it remains consistent. my other weapons like hand-cannons however remain unaffected. What in the world is going on?

5 RepliesIts actually fine. But people are spamming it.

1 ReplyFor me it actually feels more fluent and autonomous. I don't have any issues eith sprinting at all.
-
feels fine to me. have you tried setting it to hold?

-
nha not the movement but the camera just feels more awkward to use
-
They need to spend less tine virtue signalling and more time play testing.
-
Community: content stinks, but they still have the best feeling movement and gunplay in gaming. Bungie: we will see about that!

How do you do those settings I can’t find anything your saying just the hold sprint part. I’m so over this game at the moment it’s so broken it’s winding me up just to play . Cheers bungie for ruining my gaming experience. Not buying next dlc takes to long to fix your screw ups .

15 RepliesEdited by Wood: 6/9/2020 7:16:02 PMIt feels terrible. Before i use to spam the left thumbstick while i was already sprinting or after i slid. It would just continue my sprint. Now it cancels your sprint. The game feels unplayable to me right now.

4 RepliesIs this a PC thing? Im having no issues on my Xbox One

The movement feels very choppy - it’s unplayable for me.
When I’m sprinting and jump and land the game cancels my sprint, before the update you could land and keep sprinting
So i tested movement out last night across all three characters for the better part of an hour. Have not encountered this issue. The only noticeable difference i found was the hunter dodge bound to O-O is broken and i tend to teabag before rolling which will inevitably lead to my death. Easiest fix for me that does't affect my muscle memory is i switched dodge to R3. Handles like a dream especially since my thumb is always on the thumb stick during movement already. **note i didnt reassign finishers; in PvE it will only effect dodge if there's actually an enemy and to date i have never died doing a finisher while at critical health taking fire. PvP there are no finishers so there's no risk.

3 RepliesBro I legit though my controller was messed up. THANKS TO JESUS

But Hold Sprint means you need the hold the button down in order to keep sprinting though...
-
Mine is fine???

I tested it earlier, and my Sprint continued after landing from my jump. I'm not sure if you're doing something strange, but it's working the same as always for me.
-
Yeah, first ND ordeal strike I did with ransoms, we were all dying with ledge jumps... which is stupid because it's simple but with the recent sprint jump change it is just broken and throws off your timing. If NF is badly effected, I can't imagine what it would be like in pvp and raids. C- for whoever's responsible for this change to break something which was perfectly working for years.

1 ReplyI notice it a lot more on my Titan. On my warlock movement feels the same. I haven't played on my hunter yet so not sure about that one.

Edited by Gunslinger: 6/11/2020 7:37:56 AMI use a trigger stop on my R2 and now it does'nt work. You have to pull the trigger further back to fire.
