I just don't understand how this Company works.
I know that Destiny is a much better looking game than Warframe, and more complex.
However, DE has what, 50 employees and they are constantly playing, developing, and creating new content.
Bungie is now constantly complaining about how hard it is to make new content.
I just don't understand how they have 800 employees and can have these issues and need to being in help for DLC.
Do they have 1 employee spend a week to reskin 1 gun. I don't claim to know anything about coding, but something just doesn't add up to me.
I also don't have connection issues with Warframe, just another thing I don't get.
I play both games, and get bored of both of games, so I switch every couple months or so.
I know they aren't the same game, but the companies are so different.

Warframe is and always had been, pay to win.
-
nope.. it's pay to not wait. They sell you time and not items. Everything can be attained by playing . Everything in case you missed that . They also sell you exactly what you don't want to wait for. Not a chance at a chance to maybe get something you want . Warframe has never been pay to win.
-
If you can get everything in the game for free, without paying, how does that make it pay to win exactly?

Warframe is working off the Unreal Engine while Bungie is using I think the Havok Engine or whatever. The Unreal Engine makes everything gorgeous on Warframe. Which makes Warframe the better looking game. But anyways. I get your overall point. For a Developer with over 200 Employees is doing things miles better then a Developer such as Bungie with over 800 Employees. Which is sad to say the least.

Right, bungie have 600 not 800. They actually had 1000 and rivalled cd projekt red as biggest independent, but they laid off/people quit n then lost 400 after the Activision split. Secondly, it's well known that bungie are working on a new IP, not the one people think btw. The BBC did a gaming documentary in yr1 of destiny so 4-5 years ago, n bungie was featured at 1 stage n the CEO said that they where already working on their next game, for life after destiny. After that I always did wonder if that's why D1 had such barren spells and the 'making content is hard' comment was made, because they had people working on D2, people working on that new IP, and a skeleton team working on D1. It now feels exactly the same, it feels like they've got people on the new IP, people working on the next destiny content, and a skeleton team on D2. I say next destiny content because I think it's blatantly obvious destiny 2 has at least 2 years left, and Luke Smith's comment of destiny has 3 or 5 years left, tells me that he knows Shadowkeeps new model might bomb, I think they've started a D3 foundation, but if Shadowkeep doesn't draw people back and loses players, that D3 foundation may become D2 years 4-5. If it takes off, theyll do D3. They're using D2 almost as a beta test, with eververse to keep the money coming in whilst they prep for the future.

Man, do you really know how complex is warframe?
-
Just warframes mod system would bring the whole of bungie to it's knees crying .
-
I mean the weapons, frames, mods and all that stuff is way more complex than Destiny, maybe some of the game play and or gunplay. However, Destiny looks better, and the strikes, missions, and raids are much better in my opinion. I usually switch between them every couple of months as I get bored of each game from time to time.

This proves Warframe is far more complex then Destiny. Lol
-
What reskin exactly?
-
Oh idk, how about EVERY GUN IN THE GAME HAVING 6 VERSIONS AND LOOKING THE EXACT SAME. Go find crooked fang in your collections, then look at the other 6 linear fusions. They're identical.
-
Yeah because there are different types of weapon and it makes sense for them to have a concept to base their weapon on
-
They're all exactly the same gun.
-
U have a weapon type and each weapon type has atleast 3 different archetypes that it's has a different value
-
Is developing a game hard? I would like to hear another developers opinion since everyone is just making a meme out of a quote that can possibly be true
-
You must travel far and wide to hear from a developer. This place is void.
-
I play both and since d2, mostly Warframe. Say what you want about liking the game style but the DE community managers absolutely put bungles to shame. Being a f2p game I expected to be harassed or hit roadblocks to arm twist microtransactions and it hasn't happened yet and I'm at MR 19. I have bought some minimal amounts of plat for extra slots etc but now I get enough in game stuff just by playing that I can buy/sell/trade for pretty much anything I'm after. With alerts, invasions, gift of Lotus, and other events there is quite a bit of stuff you would use plat for up for relatively easy grabs. Can't wait for railjack!
-
I play both games, I've always wondered the same thing as you. I'm always amazed at what DE does with what they have and just as amazed at what little bungie does with what they have.
-
Edited by Funky Osiris: 9/5/2019 3:27:37 PMIf u think they got alot of people working on destiny 2 u crazy they moved on since forsaken they see destiny 2 as a fail and moved on to other games and destiny 3 bungie has put a little team on destiny 2 with the instruction to make the max out of minimal effort thats why u bene throwing balls at pillars for a whole season thats why there are no new vendor refreshes thats why the crucible is a mess and thats why everything is resycled because destiny 2 is no longer a priority and it shows Dont understand why people dont see this

It's cool to wonder but remember you and I and everyone else do not know what truly goes on over there. I mean how do we know that the 50 people working for Warframe aren't tired and think that content creation is hard also? I mean the devs said that content is hard to make and it's true. Just because people don't like that they said it doesn't make it less valid. Maybe it was a mistake for them to be that honest. Imagine with square enix is doing right now remaking final fantasy 7 and how long it took. Do you think that that's an easy job? What about Capcom remaking re2 and now having to make re3? If this was an easy thing to do all of us would be doing it. So again yeah we could Wonder all we want but that's as far as we can really go.

Bungie when they said creating Content is hard, they seem to not be up to the challenge and are complaining. If Content creation is hard, quit being a Developer and Go flip burgers at Burger King if that’s easier.

Ah, the ardent Bungie defender in its natural habitat. Do you ever get tired of trying to explain away all of Bungie's mistakes and constant shortcomings? DE puts out nearly as much content, has way better community events, with less than 1/8 the staff. You can try to rose tint the glass or whatever but the proof laid bare for everyone to see.
-
1/3 the staff. N bungie are building 4 games, not 1 ;)
