Since the launch of d2 weapon telemetrys do nothing for the player. It requires 200 or more for a single rank up package from banshee in which 100 gunsmith materials still is a scam. Telemetrys have a low drop rate you’d think that getting one would make a difference. WRONG! Make them useful or remove them!

14 RepliesEdited by TitanKnight: 8/9/2019 10:13:39 PMEmperor Calus has proposed the following: > Telemetries can now be used to change the elemental burn of legendary weapons. >They can also turn any energy weapon into a kinetic weapon and vice-versa. >Can now be used to re-roll masterwork bonuses. > Can be used to enhance perks. > Can be used as a consumable to make activities have a higher chance to drop curated weapons. > The Gunsmith now has a selection of weapons from all foundries to buy directly: - SUROS - Hakke - Omolon - Veist - Crux n Lomar - Daito - Tex Mechanica Random rolls, telemetries are the only way to buy them, along with glimmer.
-
This is definitely the LARGEST issues plaguing D2 at the moment!
-
No, let's NOT remove weapon telemetries and actually turn them into something useful, like a consumable that allows you to slowly masterwork weapons by getting kills, or by selling them for 10 gunsmith materials a piece.
-
It would be cool to be able to use them to convert elemental damage type or change armor elemental masterwork resistance.

Edited by Aiitin: 8/10/2019 8:39:18 PMMake them worth double or triple Gunsmith materials rep or remove them and give us 1 shard for every one we had
-
Please for the love of all that is great, do this. I would be happy if we could prevent the collection of all manner of worthless inventory items.
-
Yeah! And also remove the apostrophe in the title; they do serve a purpose but it's not to make words plural.

1 ReplyEdited by Tezz: 8/10/2019 5:50:36 PMJust get a Ghost shell with Banshee's favorite on it. With omni-telemetry, by the time I had enough stuff to rank up Banshee I'd have 5 to 10 telemetries, and the rest came from gunsmith parts. With Banshee's favorite? I usually have around 30. 40, if I'm lucky. That's a lot less gunsmith parts I'd have to use.
-
I agree 100% especially since they take up an inventory slot.
-
In my opinion a telemetry should be used to improve weapons... can you imagine building perks depending on your playstyle; hip fire grip, firmly planted, icarus (could add in crit builds again maybe) etc etc... is unlocked on weapons, if you happen to play in accordance with the perk... a telemetry can then be used to apply it to a weapon upon unlock! This then offers a build option that is more suitable to individuals!

3 RepliesIts not just aboout telemetries. The game is filled with useless trash to make it feel more complex and give you the impression that there is a lot goin on here. The amoutn of currensies the game has is just fcked up. And I dont see any reason why I should see blue gear drops at the end game. It is actually the perfect example how d2 is poor on good loot, but has a tonn of garbage istead :/
-
2 RepliesWeapon telemetries should be turned into the gunsmith in exchange for both mod components and enhancement cores. Each telemetry gives one core and one component.
-
1 ReplyEdited by SamSu916: 8/10/2019 5:38:57 AMJust make it that Banshee sells an Enhancement Core for 20-25 weapon telemetries. Now we have an effective way to farm enhancement cores outside of bounties or heavy RNG all the while having a reason to run a ghost with Banshee's Favorite.
-
3 RepliesSo ignore them. You can play the game and never have to deal with them. Why take them away from those who want them for whatever reason.

You want another exotic hand cannon. Got it.
-
I would rather they gain more of a purpose instead. A lot of this game doesn't flow together so instead maybe have them allow weapons to level up outside of the infusion system just through using them. The things are rare enough for one, and two you can only have 3 weapons equipped at a time. Not to mention you're at best refusing to use the other two. Helps with the leveling situation in a way, and makes use of them outside of rep.
-
Na they should stay, only because their thumbnail looks like a DS.
-
It serves one important purpose - clogging your materials slot.
-
They waste: - Inventory space - Ghost shell perks - Offer almost nothing to the table. God dam. Please remove everything to do with them.

1 ReplyEdited by Lull9: 8/9/2019 7:51:23 PMThere are so many potential "quality of life" improvements that are more important than a material that you basically get for "free" that can be used to rank up the gunsmith. Find something more productive to do.
-
Considering how they changed weapons to being fully leveled when they drop, they probably should've never made it to D2. Their only purpose was to help level up your guns quicker for perks in D1.
-
What weapon telemetries should do is grant a chance to obtain curated rolled versions of the gunsmith Weapons, like the Valakadyn, or half dan D..!
-
15 RepliesI could say the same thing about tokens. When's the last time anyone got anything of value from a vendor, except Saladin?
-
I personally like something clogging up my inventory that gets me 1/1000th closer to leveling up the gunsmith
-
Agreed, it's a useless currency that only takes up space
