I’m disappointed that only 1 quest involves crucible. It got its fame in CRUCIBLE. Why are PvE players saying that it shouldn’t require crucible? YOU WONT EVEN USE IT!!! It’s not meant for everyone. It’s a CRUCIBLE gun. It should involve little PvE. The amount of PvE crybabies is ridiculous...
Edit: when I say crucible gun, I don’t mean lore wise. I mean that it is designed FOR crucible, and is meant specifically to be used in crucible.

3 RepliesWhy should it its a pve gun didn’t you see the lore all you crucible kids are going to kill this game or what’s left of it !!!

7 RepliesAn uninspired quest in an uninspired game for an uninspired gun made by an uninspired developer.

2 RepliesAlright So I don’t love the crucible in D2, but the Last word made its name synonymous with the Crucible in D1. It would be ridiculous to not have some PVP involved to obtain the gun that made crucible in Destiny 1 what it was.

5 RepliesEdited by AubsTheBelieber: 1/31/2019 3:58:47 AMHey. If someone wants to use a Last Word to clear ads or kill a boss instead of their Sleeper, Thunderlord, or One Thousand Voices then give them a cookie and pretend to listen but put a helmet on them for their own safety. There’s no reason to use Last Word in PVE as an exotic instead of exotic heavy. If you are a casual that feels excluded because you work more hours then a normal person so everything you get needs to be infused (can’t get cores from break down of garbage), was locked out of the Forges as a result to working too much to feed your family, and you are upset that all you asked for was the same gun everyone else can get. You have my sympathy if it’s just too much insults in one period. But if you just literally suck at Crucible and want the Last Word because you’re delusion and think it has a value to you not playing Crucible, I guess you have my sympathy too but in a “he’s so insane he can’t even tell he is insane, it’s so sad” kinda way.

Agreed

what pvp part of the quest is even hard to do? dont get what pve people are complaining about, the longest parts of the quest are the pve sections.
-
6 RepliesThe Last Word absolutely WRECKED in the D1 Crota raid. The Thrall in The Abyss (Lamps) stood no chance. Why wouldn't it be OK in PVE now?
-
I agree. Last Word was popular in D1 because of how effective it was in PvP. If it under performs in PvP, (which it kind of does, it's not bad though) then all the crucible players are going to be pretty upset. In fact a lot of people are. Even then, some don't seem to remember the pain of the D1 Thorn quest. TLW's PvP part is nothing.
-
Or could have gave it substance to what it is WITH story like they tried to but giving us hype instead of lore on books. And the weapon was a random drop in D1 BUT was amazing in pvp dosent make it a pvp only weapon. Would have been nice for once for the lore to follow the weapon and give a bit of visual story while playing it out to get it.
-
I would agree, but at this point there isn't much PvP. Not to mention there are too many "push button to kill" weapons in this game. Which is why alot of players stay away from PvP now. Too much meta for any skill to be involved either.
-
2 RepliesI don't get your thread title: "Last word SHOULD require crucible" It does!
-
21 RepliesInstead of yelling lying a lunatic, perhaps take off your PvP blinders and think about more than just how this game affects you. There are many who play this game with a "collectors" mindset. They like to collect the gear sets, god roll weapons, exotics, etc. So, putting gear behind a PvP wall can seem like a dick move. The PvP in this game isn't exactly a well-oiled machine. Also, it appears the quest involves a PvP mechanic granting progress for kills, while death setsback that progress. Anyone who did the OG Thorn exotic bounty knows how frustrating that shit can be. Hopefully I've cleared up some of the confusion for you. If not, then please return to your parent's basement and continue watching your favorite Twitch "star."

1 ReplyI was one of those people that didn't like having to get the PvP kills in Gambit for the Ace of Spades. But, if you want me to get PvP kills then make me go play Crucible. That is exactly what Bungie has done so I see no reason to complain.
-
1 Reply100% agree but also reckon (as a PVE player who's got it btw) the loss penalty should just lock after every game . For true PVP players out there that step is probably about as challenging as a flawless shader dismantle so if quests like this become less of a chore maybe more of us PVE snowflakes would be more inclined to return to pvp .
-
Anyone remember Thorn from D1. Crucible tryhards cried so much about the quest and being killed by it that Bungie Nerfed it to the ground and was worthless. Last word will be nerfed soon so really does not matter. Plus thorn is coming so it will be fun watching them cry all the time again!
-
Well there are also pvp players complaining. Don’t assume all pvp players are good at pvp. Some are bad and too lazy to grind for the gun.
-
I mean... Crucible is like brussel sprouts. Some people like it, some people hate it, and there's Thai weird stigma that it's gross and bad. But we need to have it around so we can grow and get stronger
-
4 Replies
It’s a CRUCIBLE gun.
As far as I can remember Drifter runs Gambit not a Crucible. -first of all. Secondly - TV's over 32" and Consoles with their Input Lags says: Go F Yourself on final stage with 3 oponents

6 RepliesEdited by MARS (Adept): 1/30/2019 7:17:53 PMEveryone is missing the real issue. You all are arguing about crucible but the real issue is that you’re grinding for the same gun from D1 that you already had. That’s fine if you’re ok with that. It’s not the grind so much as having to do the SAMEshit you’ve been doing all along. The issue everyone should be complaining about is that there isn’t anything NEW to do to get the gun. Run Crucible, run lost sectors, run crucible again. Bungie has run out of GOOD ideas.
-
the only issue i have is why didn’t they group the 2 crucible parts together?
-
35 RepliesI think the issue is the loss mechanic. You have to go positive nearly every game to make any progress. And in a game where the meta is busted, and you can get a 4 stack of hunters with not forgotten and blade barrage it's just not fun. The issue is we all payed the same amount for the season pass, and for some people to get locked out of certain content just because they don't find crucible enjoyable or just aren't good at it isn't fair. Not to mention the fact that if you're already that good at crucible to get the gun, you've just got another tool in your arsenal compared to players who aren't good enough for it and have to scavenge around for any god rolls they can get. In my honest opinion the loss mechanic should be voided, 135 is still a hefty amount of kills, and it'll take people who aren't that good at crucible longer but at least it'll be doable for them.

I was really upset at first, then I hopped in mayhem with super mods and shards.

3 RepliesEdited by liam4521: 1/30/2019 8:49:35 PMI didn’t know there was a huge discrepancy between ‘pvp players’ and ‘pve players’😂😅 a ‘pvp player’ would have to engage in pve activities too right?? (Strikes, gambit = pvp/pve, raids, ascendant challenges, public events, lost sectors, story missions, nightfalls, black armoury forges, basically everything but the crucible.. so how can you only be a ‘pvp player’?? Do you mean a pvp player is a player who enjoys playing pvp activities more than pve...the rest of the game? I’m kinda confused
-
*2 steps involve crucible but 1 requires trading death kills.
