6 RepliesYeah, i paid for forsaken, where is my 100 raid clears? I PAID for the game, i demand them automatically. Why wasn't i immediately lvl 50? I PAID for that new exp cap. And why weren't all 3 characters 600 at the beginning? I thought i paid for that, too? Dangit boongee, why you holdin muh monies and not gib me the redrix's flamberg or the luna's wolf noise, or even yhe i forgot it? Stupid developers. I PAID for all that.

2 RepliesJust got my 3rd exotic today since the "dupe protection". Wardcliff Coil. I'll add that to my Eternal Warrior and Actium War Rig that don't help me whatsoever. Milestones need an increase to exotic drops. Especially the Nightfall ones. Let's make it more like D1 Y1 where NFs were a reliable source of exotics.

12 RepliesYou are correct. It needs to be changed a little. Community asked for a more meaningful grind where things were tougher to get but more rewarding. Game was at zero grind. Instead of trying 60%, 70%, 75%, bungie went straight to 100% grind. It is not meaningful. Its not all that rewarding. And it’s a boring repetitive grind of doing the same shit every day and every week. Hoping for an exotic that rarely and for some never comes. My exotic to start the week. Another tractor cannon. Yep, it’s fixed.

May come back for next expansion, dunno, but I played probably over 150 hours in a month and a half and got two forsaken exotics which makes me think... No, won't do it to myself again. I end playing today going onward to play Battlefield V with my last two exotics which were dupes. The worst exotic in the game. Those shitty aeon gaunlets and eye of another world. The game is literally a job doing dailies and weeklies in endgame, for trash and dupes. Yeah no thanks.

Played a ton and finally better games are here. Was fun playing to pass the time but what a huge sham how this year treated exotics. Literally played a couple hundred hours and got two forsaken exotics. It's honestly shameful and I won't be around in D3 if you listen to people who want to feel like special snowflakes

5 RepliesYou've barked up the wrong tree here. Welcome to the dregs and remains of the Bungie community, where everything is fine because reasons and if you complain, you're acting entitled. Keep in mind, Most of Destiny 2 is already comprised of things that were supposed to be part of Destiny back in the day, so if you're from D1 launch, you've effectively already waited a few years to get the stuff you paid for, better get used to it.

Don't know about you, but I didn't pay for Exotics - I paid for a game that was fun to play and gave me something to do for hundreds of hours. If Exotics are the ultimate gear, they shouldn't be dropping like candy, and if everyone has them, they stop being special. If you want a "collect-em-all" game, I recommend Pokemon, or a traditional offline RPG where all weapons have static locations and set quests - Destiny isn't that. After 3 years of playing D1, I ended that game without ever getting Icebreaker or the Y3 Raid Exotics, and I didn't feel I was "cheated" out of anything - I didn't enjoy the experience any less because I didn't have those guns, I played because I enjoyed it and sometimes I was rewarded with something really cool. I switched consoles for Forsaken specifically to "start over," because I already had a Vault full of Y1 Exotics and, unlike D1, they weren't phased out with Forsaken's LL increase - now that Three of Coins is gone, I'm still missing most of Y1's Exotics, let alone the new stuff...and it's had zero impact on how I play. (Frankly, the quest-based Exotics are among the better in the game anyway - Worldline, Polaris, Ace, and Sturm get more use than Lord of Wolves, Queenbreaker, or Two-Tailed Fox.) Starting from scratch, I've had a reasonable mix of Y1 and Y2 Exotic weapons, but the armor has heavily favored Y1 gear. I don't usually care about Exotic armor, but I recognize that a couple of pieces really stand out as "superb" and are highly sought-after, which goes back to my first point - if everyone has those particular pieces, they stop being special. The entire Three-of-Coins Exotic handout era never should have existed, and the current economy is the way Exotics should have been all along - "extremely rare," as it says in the description, something we MIGHT get but isn't guaranteed. 110 is too many Exotics anyway, and I'll actually be a little disappointed if I somehow get all of them in the 90 days between Forsaken and the next DLC. I remember back when 1-2 per week was "lucky" (not counting Xur), and the 6-8 per week I've been getting lately (including dupes) feels about right considering Xur and and Three of Coins aren't factors anymore - maybe even a little high, although the dupes bring that down to about 10 new unique Exotics per month, or 2.5/week, which is about in line with D1Y1 levels and appropriate for how often the most powerful gear in the game should fall out of the sky.

Besides the quest exotics, I have only had TWO forsaken exotics! I guess I'm lucky, since most can't get 1.

1 ReplyAgreed. I’ve got the Lord of Wolves and that’s it since Forsaken. I’ve played quite a bit, not much as some. It’s kinda of gotten to the point that I’d rather go play other games then chase exotics with horribly low drop rates and the damn meatball from Gambit. There’s a balance between just giving it to us and making it so we hardly ever get an exotic much less a new exotic.

I havent gotten any forsaken exotics since launch and I got 3 since the update. Drop rate is fine now.

This should be a lesson for many that goes with the old saying 'be careful what you wish for, you just might get it'. I say that because one of the main complaints about d2 when it dropped was exotics were too easy to get, that they didnt feel worth it, there was no 'excitement' when getting one cause they were so common, nothing to chase/grind for, etc. While i disagreed with that thinking, that was the thinking for the majority of the community. Bungie listened and gave people what they wanted, hence the lower drop rates now. I think they went too far initially in forsaken, that's the reason they buffed the drop rate and have the exotic chance multiplier now. And from personal experience, it seems to be working. Although i'm missing a lot of the new exotic armor, I've gotten enough other new exotics (outside quests) recently to get the trophy. I know it sucks to not get anything, but you just have to remember they want people to play the game a lot, so it's all rng. Meaning, even though it's not right now, if you keep playing, eventually you will get all the new exotics. Best of luck to all my fellow guardians. edit - Another thing i've noticed about this topic: people seem to think they should only get new exotics, and the game has never worked like that. The exotic pool isnt limited to just new things, in fact it increased, so there is a better chance you might not get a new one. With the new weighted system in place though, your chances of getting a new/non owned exotic are a lot better, and from personal experience, it's working.
