A reminder for all playing Iron Banner this weekend...
CONTROL IS NOT TEAM DEATHMATCH.
You actually have to make an effort to capture the objective. You know, those things labelled A, B & C?
If you can’t understand that simple task, I wonder what the heck you do when you’re taking part in raids.
EDIT: This one is so bad it has actually made me laugh. New game starts off, my team stays at A and doesn’t make an effort to catch B. Opposite team sits with advantage and pushes on A while the majority of the team sits just around the corner trying to push on C. Opposing team walks straight up to A, immediate power play within 30 seconds of the game starting. I MEAN COME ON PEOPLE.

It's not even control anymore its domination. Get all 3 zones as quick as possible.

Have they changed control in some way? It used to mean that more flags held meant that kills counted more, in the past i have won games having only capped one point but out killed the opposing team. Essentially it was clash but you got extra points for killed based on capped flags.

3 RepliesThe bounties are what are enforcing this play style. People are being forced to rotate to zones to get power play kills for powerful gear, to capture zones as frequently as possible, and seek out kills in general.

7 Replies100 precision kills. Screw the objective. I'm here for the 100 precision kills bounty. I already have the 15 lock down kills bounty done. I'm at 91/100 precision kills, 9 more and I'm a ghost. This is what happens when you lock powerful drops behind bounties that have nothing to do with actually playing the objective or even caring about wins and losses. Want to fix the problem? Change the bounties. Tie the bounties to victories, or kills while holding zone advantage. But as long as it's just 100 precision kills, it's basically Clash.

8 RepliesAnyone else's experience with IB going something like this; -Get comfortable 20 point lead -Getting kills and good teamwork (even with randoms) -....???.....?...??..????? -Lose lead -Falling behind by a few, then 10, then 30 points. -Takes clip and a half to even get the attention of the enemy player -Now you're 60 points behind and can't get a kill to save your life -Lose match -Teams not broken up, repeat process for another game.

1 ReplyMy only issue with ib this time around is with the match making. Why would you match a team stacked of 540s and 550s with a team that has two or three people below 300. I like that your light level matters again but it should atleast be somewhat competitive.

Not to pull away from the point cause the flags are still SUPER important and everyone should capture them often, but the system used by bungie makes the mode exactly team deathmatch. You can win the game while literally being triple capped by the enemy team the entire game as long as your team is slaying hard af

If you're talking abt the console plafform, there are usually lots of kids who don't understand proper strategy and tactics. So you'll probably see a few of them running around thinking they're playing Fortnite.

No point. No what game mode you are in the destiny pvp community has lost the capacity to focus on objectives. Hence why Gambit is miserable. Everyone just looks at radar and walks around until they see red. They probably didn't know why there are objectives on the map. All objective focused players left before destiny 2, when being on a team with randoms felt like an actual team instead of a bunch of assholes spreading around like madjack rounds.

Actually it is clash, because the way you score points is through kills. The zones just make the kills count for more. That’s it. Now if the zones were the only way you scored points, then we’d be talking.

2 RepliesControl is team death match with an objective, they need to actually make control the mode it's actually suppose to be DOMINATION controlling the zones gets you more points per second then maybe this power play thing they added might be useful cause right now it doesn't work for this version on control

No I need to get my 45 kills and be on top of the leaderboard to keep my ego going. I am a PvP god.

Often I'm paired against people 40+ Power higher than me, getting destroyed in the blink of an eye.. can't cap flags in this situation.

Your team is full of nice people helping the other team get their Power Play bounty done. If you want to get your bounty done however, I suggest being on the other team.
