I like to sherpa people trough the levianthan raid, but i have hard time explaining how gauntlet works. Any tips on how i can explaine the gauntlet to new people.

Not sure how we actually explain it lol. This question made me think about haha. But heres how we do it. When we sherpa leviathan and get to guanlets...only sherpa up to two people. Anymore and it gets complicated. Use rotating strat Make new guys plate man for dog and/or cup, shooting highest arrow called Have experienced raiders run and do psions and lowest arrow called. For the ad phases, Tell them to stay back near the middle of the room instead of charging up into the ads. It keeps them safer and makes it easier for the floater to help them. When bosses come out have floater help kill to the left (psion mans plate) then both help kill new guys if needed. (If you have two new guys make sure callers do so in an order and each new guys knows which to listen for) Have runners call out the two arrows to be shot and call out the highest first so the new guy hears his first and doesnt have to think too much. Tell them as soon as the arrow turns green they are to move right to next plate and be ready to shoot again. When final run comes around... You can do this however feels best you. You should have an idea by now whether thsi person or people can run or not so..... Either split it by the two 3 man teams and pick orbs on alternating walls. Or the easiest solution is have new guys run to second wall and get orbs and just stop on the other side while the others run the rest of the loop. This way with a rotating strat all they have to really remember is to shoot till they see green and move to next plate on the right. The static strat gives them more to remember and is easier to mess up.

Dont shoot the arrow people call out.

When we were first learning the rotation strat we split into 2 teams of 3. Mute the opposite team mic's so u can only hear your team. This made it so the runner did t have to worry about symbols just the rings. After a couple runs add in the symbols and everyone's mic. Was a lot easier to nail the rotation strat this way. It's easy enough either way just practice. Then final phase when everyone runs team A took 1st and 3rd orbs team B took 2nd and 4th.

I don't explain, I just wait for someone else to explain lol

2 RepliesEdited by ULiano_III: 7/16/2018 4:52:43 PM4v4 Two teams of Guardians Each team faces chosen Enemies (cabal vex fallen) by Drifter You kill enemies and collect Glowing Triangles and they stack up. You can place them into the Vault (I forget the name) and every set amount will send over a Blocker that stops the enemy team from Inserting the Triangles. Once that is done A GUARDIAN CAN TELEPORT TO THE ENEMY SIDE. Once a team gets to 75 a Primeevil appears (Boss) You must kill the Primeevil to win. However, if you have a Primeevil to fight, the Portal is open forever and an Enemy Guardian can come and kill you, every Team death Heals the Primeevil. That is Gambit in a nut shell. Nothing complicated about it. Just keep your witts about you and pay attention to your Triangle count and when the Portals open. Edit : LOL, Totally thought this said GAMBIT. 😂

If they are new and you are with other experienced players, make them the runner and explain the red ring they need to call out and how to look for symbols on the ceiling. Its more than 1 or 2, my team does static plates for normal levi and it makes it a cinch to teach. Stand on your plate, shoot top most arrow of your plate and plate to your right. After your arrows are shot, wait for your psion to melee it, then jump back on plate. Rinse and repeat, done. Ive guided plenty of people through leviathan and this is the easiest method to teach.

9 RepliesEdited by fish: 7/16/2018 4:30:40 PMIf you’re not doing rotation, puncher platform and runner, you’re doing it wrong. Not only is it the easiest way, it also prepares people for prestige. Two teams of three, platform punch and runner, punch shoots* Lowest plat shoots highest. Rotate right.

1 ReplyTell them to run.

Have them watch a YouTube video.

Shoot the one that's not what they said. You, Scrub A. You shoot the higher one. And you, Scrub B. You shoot the lower one.
-
Rotate with the runner. Pedestal always shoots first call-out, then immediately runs to next pedestal. Guy on ground punches psions and always shoots second call-out.
-
If you know how to do it it shouldn’t be hard to explain.

If youre bringing noobies, teaching the rotation RPG strat is a bit better. Runner, Plate, Grounder. Among the experienced players, we prefer static plates.

2 RepliesI hate gauntlet, there's so many different ways to do it and explain it yet people never seem to quite get it. Ultimately I've boiled it down to saying f(_)ck LFG callouts. Runner calls, from top to bottom, symbol they are at and the two arrows they need shot, ie the two rows without a red ring. If you're shooting on a runner plate (cup or dog), you always shoot the first arrow that gets called, top or mid. Your partner always shoots the second call, mid or bottom. You're partnered with things that go together, cup and blades like on a dinner table. Dogs and sun like at the park. As soon as your wall has turned green, that means, Go get your psion! As soon as the psion is dead, go back to your plate and turn to your partner's wall. As for team placement, your strongest players should be taking care of the side plates, blades and sun. Any noob should be with a strong player at a running plate so they can babysit. For the final run, noobs grab every wall, meanwhile runners and the side plates should be alternating.
