You complain and I myself complain about getting duplicate exotics over and over along with other crap, and now you want MORE RNG? With an even higher chance of getting a gun you don't want with completely crap perks further increasing the grind?. Don't bunch all of us together or include me with most of your crap opinions saying random perks is what made D1 fun, that's not it at all for me I just liked nuking enemies with my nova and just wrecking the enemy whichever it might have been in whatever strike it was.
The tryhards are the ones that went after the god roll crap that in the end actually caused weapon nerfs and even certain perks removed.
The system now is fine, don't like it? Leave. Bungie can build onto the mod system now adding new and old perks from D1, and adding to it to where multiple slots can be added to a weapon where you can possibly mod whatever gun with multiple mods.
Edit: And to add some or most of the best guns in D1 in the whole game had specific locked perks. I remember the felwinters lie crap and you could reroll at the gunsmith until you got the perks you wanted but do you see that anywhere to be found in D2?. The mod system is fine and can be built upon while you can't do anything about rng garbage.

Don’t use logic around here, they don’t like it.

The thing about randomized rolls was that no weapon performed the same. Without that the weapon table seems small since every weapon has static perks.

6 RepliesWhy does everyone posting against the trend have to sound so condescending? Yeah you have an opinion, it's worth no more than anyone else's. Also, it's about the thrill of the chase. It that concept alludes you, then I genuinely feel sorry for your millennial self.

4 Repliesi spent more than 4000 hours grinding and raiding random rolls kept ppl playing for that perfect weapon so if anyone here doesn't know what there talking about its you kinder guardian.

I don't think they're expecting a game changer here... Random rolls give the player a goal. That's pretty much about it. Wether it truly effects the game giving a player an advantage in crucible or makes them more deadly in pve is neither true or false. It's just the perspective of that player. Re rolls also give the game more grind. The major aspect of the game, since it's a looter, is for that endless search for better gear or builds.... In my opinion I don't really care but it's obvious a good deal of players enjoyed that endless search...

D1 beta veteran 50+ flawless runs i completly agree with you

If they improve mods, random rolls won't be required.

I think they can do more using a reworked mod system. Random rolls are fine but not the solution by itself. We had that in d1 and it had its frustrations I think many guardians have forgotten about. I would like a more diverse selection of weapons and gear to allow custom gameplay styles and think they have the right idea with mods but need to go further.

Edited by Willie Killigan: 1/16/2018 5:29:19 PMA lot of people can’t think for themselves, it’s easier for them just to agree with someone else than develop their own opinion or ideas. We need worthy and interesting perks not random ones. They can give us random rolls and all the perks could be as mediocre as they are now. We’d have random rolls and only 1 or 2 perks worth having. Basically putting us in the same situation we have now.

4 RepliesThere is no grind for weapons right now, that grind is what kept many of us playing D1.
-
2 RepliesAt the moment, it takes you only a couple of days to fully gear your character, and after that all you do is play some 2-3 hours a week to complete your weeklies. With random perks reintroduced you will surely be incentivized to play more than 2 hours a week.

2 RepliesThing is destiny 2 feels exactly like d1 did whenever you get a gun that had a bad roll. The problem is every gun in destiny 2 is that 'bad roll' gun, Not only is everything reskinned but each gun has the exact same stats for the most part. Also the perks are so weak that you cant tell the difference between a green autorifle and a legendary autorifle. I tested this, I even found that I prefered the green auto over my legendary. Why?? Why is it like this? Thats easy. Bungie wanted to make guns not matter at all so that noobs to the game wouldnt get stomped in pvp because every gun is the exact -blam!-ing same.

1 ReplyOh look, another 14 year old with an opinion that starts with calling other people kids over an Internet forum so he can pretend to be an adult. Nothing new to see here folks. Move along.

8 RepliesStatic rolls in a loot based game is far from fine. It is you that clearly doesn't know what you are talking about.
-
2 RepliesGod rolls didn’t cause weapon nerfs. Crying children in the community did.
-
Yeah, because having something to actually play for was sooooo overrated...

Bungie really pulled the wool over your eyes with the mod system, didn't they? That's real sad. I rather be a kid than a blind sheep like you. But hey, to each their own.
