Unskilled players need op weapons

2 RepliesWe need the old D1 weapon system back. I hopped on D1 yesterday and had so much fun.
-
You think? Also none of the exotics feel exotic like they did in D1, except for that week of permetheus lense
-
6 RepliesSo that lucky people who are blessed with rng can have an advantage over others in pvp?

1 ReplyAll the hand cannons are garbage.

Yeah this game sucks

16 RepliesLIES!!! DESTINY 2'S WEAPONS ARE AMAZING!! PROOF? YOU WANT PROOF!!- IF D2 GUNS AREN'T AMAZING THEN WHY DID THEY RESKIN BASICALLY EVERYTHING 50 TIMES OVER!! FLAWLESS DESIGNS THAT'S WHY! CAN'T IMPROVE ON PERFECTION!! Really though... PVE D1>Warframe>D2 PVP D1>Battle Royal>D2

"Hey, I could plink away with this shitty primary or I could...plink...away...with this other...shitty...primary?"
-
Pretty much. It didn't buy D2 to play with watered down weapons, watered down armor and watered down space magic.
-
It's kind of boring that the overall best guns are Uriel's Gift, MIDA, Origin Story, Positive Outlook, Last Hope, Sins of the Past, Curtain Call, and others. Like why do the other guns even exist then? I don't want to feel like I have to choose from 16 weapons that everyone else is using. I want to feel more unique than that.
-
1 ReplyAnd I bet they will nerf the Colony soon....Just like the Prometheus...or Gjalarhorn ...after Xur sell them. Bungie is totally does not like Fun. They just need to Ban Exotic from PVP
-
Destiny as a franchise suffers from boring gear actually
-
hum... I disagree ! i would qualify them as "hot" "garbage" the type where you don't want to play with them, as a contrast to "boring" where you could play with them and quantify them as "boring" lol

D2 is boring

13 RepliesThe weapons are fine, it creates balance across the board. The second primary is stupid, shotsguns, sidearms, submachine guns, snipers, and fusion rifles need to be added back the secondary slot; swords, heavy machine guns(BRING THEM BACK), rocket launchers, and grenade launchers should all go to the heavy(power) slot. It adds way more variety as power to the gameplay this way, but the weapon balance system in primaries is fine. If you need an “OP roll” to beat someone, the weapon isn’t the problem, you’re just utter, melted garbage at aiming and Bungie shouldn’t accommodate to your lack of skill.
-
They just copied and pasted from destiny 1 and added a bit of color to the weapons... What a joke this company is.

Some people argue against the RNG loot grind by saying that everyone just ends up using "God Rolls" anyway. The difference I feel is that in D1 damn near any gun could be usable with the right roll, and only the sweatiest tryhards were hell bent on getting a God Rolled Eyasluna. It encouraged more variety because often times your best and favorite guns were what ever happened to drop with the best roll. In fact some of my favorite guns in D1 were non-meta guns like the Badger CCL, that just happened to drop with a fantastic roll. In D2 the best gun will always be the best gun, and a mediocre gun will always be mediocre. Mods does nothing to address this in an interesting way it just means that everyone will be using a modded / masterwork version of the best gun instead of whatever their personal best gun is.

2 RepliesI totally agree. PvP at the moment is very linear, very monotone, there needs to be a element of variation put into the game, both weapon availability and weapon perks need a lot of attention. masterwork weapons are a good idea, pretty pointless at the moment really in PvP, and to be honest, to get them to the place they need to be they might as well re introduce random rolls and save themselves time and effort. The biggest thing is PvP and PvE need to be separate, PvP balancing is limiting PvE design massively and vice versa. It does not need a total separation, designated PvP perks and PvE perks would work wonders for the game, they have been implemented in small ways in D1 and can easily be implemented in D2.

Slow killing static guns. No meaningful loot. Just a ration of space magic. Minimal variety, depth and customization. We should thank sandbox lead Jon Weisnewski for his "vision"...NOT! Step down Weisnewski! It the moral thing do do!
-
1 ReplyAll the guns need is another master slot with different perks and everyone should be happy as the guns will be in line with Destiny minus one minor perk! The light generation is spot on with the new gun system and whether it’s a quick fix to be re addressed!? Either way sub classes need to be expanded on, other than that, the recent blog addresses most complaints, but, let’s see if it’s all talk!

2 RepliesEdited by worldsablaze21: 1/12/2018 4:22:48 PMI agree and I think they also need to change a few other things such as character progression specifically meaning our power level. I preferred it back in D1 year 1 the way we gained our light level. It made end game content that much more playable. Something like that should be brought back in to the game cause fusing armour into other armour has really made the game suck.
-
I enjoyed the quartermaster crucible bounties from D1. It required me to step out of my comfort zone with favourite guns (loved my hawksaw) and use different weapons.
-
Bump !!!! They have nerffed everything cool in the game instead of of buffing . Clearly no one at bungie has a understanding of human phycology. It's pretty apparent that taking things away from someone once you have let them enjoy it had hugely negative affects. Smh
-
I disagree. It's not the random perks it's the perks themselves. All the fun sought after perks are either gone or way less effective.
-
The fact that Nameless Midnight and Better Devils are the top primaries because of Explosive Rounds says a lot. Explosive Rounds was a good perk in D1, but not the best like in D2.
