Wow, lie much? First, D2 didn’t bring 6 million new players. Before D2 launched there was over 4 million registered Destiny users via Destiny Tracker. Each update since D1 brought more people. WoW grows its numbers regularly without rebooting the franchise via sequel. Had Bungie/Activision marketed the game like TTK, keeping all the old stuff, updating graphics across the board and dropping the new content they wouldn’t had needed to do the sweeping changing people are now exiting for like stale PvP and zero incentive. I checked the numbers and Destiny 2 had its largest number in PvP and PVE players when Prometheus in its broken glory made stuff fun again. That should have showed more than anything that space magic should have been brought back as opposed the nerfing.
Plain and simple, numbers don’t lie. The growth that D2 got would have been replicated or increased had they kept going instead of reboot sequel. Growth also came from PC launch. I’m done with this game until I see actual change in incentive, fun and PvP. I’m also done if they bring all that back and then announce that there will eventually be a Destiny 3. Rebooting as a sequel was one of many horrible ideas Bungie made in this franchise.

Are you serious? The charts and data are all there... there's only 500k "active" players on Destiny 1 prior to D2 launch... I don't know what you're looking at... the beta numbers? bc 4.6 million beta players participated in D2? They had to register to play the beta lol. No, numbers don't lie...the people interpreting it do...and they do it to make their argument seem valid however illogical. WOW didn't grow regularly (charts attached). They suffer declines like every online game. If Destiny 1 could keep their playerbase, then a reboot wouldn't be necessary...it's precisely bc there were only 500k left, that they had to make Destiny 2. If there were 4 millions players... they wouldn't need to make a reboot lol... bc logic.

And again lying. Destiny had 4.6 million registered users at before D2 launched. 500k active users meaning people who signed on weekly. The numbers from TTK went up by more than a million registered users. Now all that is from Destiny Tracker. D2 only added 1.6 million which could have been replicated without a sequel reboot and those numbers were helped by adding a third platform that had hundreds of thousands alone. WoW with its declines still has tens of millions of registered users and millions of active users. Seems they have a better business model.

What am I lying about exactly lol? So what's your point regarding 4.6 million registered users? They're not playing lol. Destiny 2 may not have brought 6 million NEW players...but they did bring 6 million players playing actively for a week lol. That's greater than 500k... or am I lying about that too? WOW charges you monthly lol... you get what you paid for.

Didn't D2 go into development long before the numbers dropped to 500k? 🤔

That is absolutely correct which is before Rise of Iron with all the improvements that everyone liked so much...difference teams...kinda of explain why D2 didn't have all the D1 stuff eh? Population had already declined quite a lot then... D2 was inevitable.
