Holy shit this blew up. Why are some of you so salty about this lolololol.
I spent $49.99 on bright engrams (dumb i know) and didn't get a SINGLE DROP of my favorite shader, Dawn and Dusk. Also, does anyone else feel like the shaders in D2 are freaking awful for the most part?

Signed. I’m afraid of using all of the dawn and dusk bc it’s my favorite😂
-
Signed. I refuse.

1 Replyshaders took a downgrade with limited use we have in d2 D:
-
2 RepliesMy problem with the shaders isn't that I'm afraid to commit them to any gear, its the fact that it costs way too much glimmer to apply the shader to the gear. I have a very vain guardian that likes to look his best so I never have glimmer...
-
Yes. I do not like the new shader system.
-
Theyre not that hard to get really, but the single use is bs

*stands up in the Forums* "Hi, my name is Derp and I have commitment issues" The Forums, "Hi Derp."

Signed. I've never felt so raggedy mismatching my armor with nothing to tie it all together. All my friends from D1 know I was very particular about my shaders and my Guardians appearance.
-
3 RepliesCongrats Bungie, your plan to make shaders one-use to encourage EverVerse shader sales has Backfired! now we 're afraid to even apply shaders, and are starting to Not Care what our guardian looks like! really, if I'm just going to replace my gear after the next best thing falls out of a chest, why should I invest anything into it? and then I started to realize my Guardian had no fixed appearance or identity. and had no motivation for cosmetic items... easy fix Bungie: add a gear transmogrify item to EV, that'll be a big seller

The shader system in this game is total shit. I can't believe they are sticking with this.
-
I mean I know it's your money and your choice but you realise by buying those engrams your enabling bungee to make these micro transactions even worse? It's people like you that will make it so you can buy exotic guns and armour with real money god why can't people wise up and stop buying into this shit and maybe that business model will die off but nah there will always be people who spend money on this crap justifying to these devs to make micro transactions worse.

I really haven’t even used shaders yet. Plus they take glimmer to equip? Like wtf? And 1 time use? Who want a different color for their helmet than chest or legs or arms? I’m constantly infusing anyways. Waste of resources to me.
-
Everyone keeps saying you get plenty of shaders and that's true I have a lot but the ones I really like I have 4-6. In D 1 I would use a bright/shiny shader in pve and super black or a darker shader for pve. No way to swap back and forth now. No matter how many shaders you get you won't have enough to swap back and forth once or twice a day. It's also takes way longer to swap since you have to do each piece individually.
-
Shaders suck now. I don't care how "they drop like candy" I should only have to earn them one time just like it was in D1! Who wants to constantly raid or play trials so you can keep a useless backstock of them!
-
The D2 shader system is complete garbage. They took an awesome system from D1 and instead of making it even better they decided to sell out to make players spend real money on shaders. Apparently spending $60 to over $100 on their game is not enough. Also having to spend glimmer every time you apply a shader is such crap!

9 RepliesThere’s no reason to hoard them and you get a -blam!-ton anyway from literally any chest in the game so what’s the problem? Seriously what is a legitimate reason this is a problem besides a snowflake/bitching reason?
-
I used them because I have several, can get more, and dont really have commitment issues.
-
-
Bump. No point now
-
heh if I could trade the ones i keep getting I would let people have them. I see no point in shaders or any of the cosmetic crap. I normally discard them as soon as I get them.
-
I'm still looking for the right gear
-
50 bucks of your hard earned money...i mean it's yours and it's your call but seriously...
-
Yup. I really dont want to waste the good shaders on something i think will be useless later on.

so signed

3 RepliesEdited by SwolebroT800: 9/21/2017 10:56:52 PMYou get plenty of shaders if you are completing the milestones, finding chests and.. really just playing the game.
