If you've come here to post some sarcastic non-comment along the lines of "bye" or "can I have your stuff" jog on, hit the X on the top right of your screen, go do something constructive with your life. For the rest of you who give half a f*ck about the destiny community, I'm done with this game until something drastic happens to make the endgame worth doing and not tedious, bland, boring and down right frustrating. Lets look at the endgame activities one by one.
1: Strikes - Completely worthless, you get more loot doing public events and public events take at worst a quarter of the time assuming you got unlucky with spawns. The strikes all hold no real lore significance, add nothing significant to the story, and to top it off you can't even choose which strikes you want to do anymore. You know in a sequel you're supposed to add functionality, not take it all away, and I can't think of a single good reason to remove strikes from the storyline and make their selection completely RNG.
2: Public Events - They actually made them fun, when you're not zoning in and out of an area over and over again trying to find players to do them with. I've lost count of the number of times I've zoned into an area only to find it devoid of all players, or found players who have no idea how to trigger the heroic event and gormlessly watch me carry orbs around while they pop the spider tank in the brain case. Does it not occur to people that maybe the lv20 dude is doing that stupid s*it for a reason and they should perhaps copy him? It doesn't help that bungie does nothing to explain heroic events to new players.
3. The Nightfall - I'm going to say this slowly and in big letters so you get it.
TIMERS. ARE. NOT. FUN.
They aren't fun, never have been, never will be. The nightfall was plenty challenging for it's gear rewards beforehand, it doesn't need this artificial difficulty bulls*it added on top. I get it, you want people to feel challenged for the rewards, but the flip side of that is players feeling cheated when they lose to a timer instead of the enemy.
4. The Leviathan - Boring, tedious and a complete waste of an otherwise beautiful setting. What the hell was Bungie thinking? With the exception of the final boss, these aren't raid encounters, they're glorified puzzle rooms, and the 30 second revive or wipe timer on normal mode is just another lazy way of artificially creating difficulty.
The Baths - Never died to mechanics, always wiped to one dude dying to adds and dragging the rest of the team with him because you either drop your mechanics and die, or don't revive and die.
The Pleasure Gardens - Lost count of the number of times the dogs bugged out and saw the people jumping on the platforms above them. Also if you're going to force stealth on people, maybe consider putting working stealth mechanics in your game, or maybe just don't do it since this is a MMOFPS not a Stealth action game.
The Gauntlet - You're literally having us jump through hoops, and someone somewhere at Bungie thought this would be fun? Also nice troll with the 'only 3 people have to make it to the end but if anyone dies the 30 second wipe timer will f*ck you', thing, that was a nice touch.
Oh and you know what else I love, not getting loot for any of this shit, not being able to spend my tokens until after completing the raid, having to find the other half of my reward in yet another stealth game, having my keys removed from my account on reset, having to walk through a maze every time I want to get back to the boss I was at, and after all this finding out that the loot is garbage and has nothing worthwhile over more easily obtainable loot.
Other stuff - Removing the variety of perks on guns turns keeping or trashing a weapon into a binary and therefore boring choice. Forcing PvE players into PvP in order to maximize their light increase for the week sucks. You still didn't fix the hunter jumping bug nor the black screen bug from year 1 of the first game. Most (but not all) exotics just don't feel powerful at all. Oh, and the companion app's new look sucks and it never bloody works properly.
And I'm out.

2 RepliesI’m massively disappointed with this game, I have shelled out £90 for such unfinished trash. A sequel should be a progression not a regression. All three characters 305 Raid done (normal) Nightfall’s done including prestige Exotic weapons done Legend of acrius done minus prestige raid There is no incentive at all for me to continue this grind with no perks on the weapons or gear. Aesthetics simply doesn’t cut it. PvP I hate control and 4v4 team shooting yet I’m unable to select a match type. The raid is the worst raid ever, boring as hell and just not fun at all. Nightfall’s are pointless. Strikes are pointless. The story is all over the place and no proper lore again. I miss D1’s weapon and armour system all those perks to grind and actually make a difference in activities. Shotguns and snipers in secondary and machine guns as power. The hardcore player has been given a firm middle finger by Bungie. I am over 200 hours in now and all I can think is for what... With Anthem looming on the horizon next year something drastic needs to change. Give me proper armour and weapon sets, a prestige mode which actually gives things worth the pain for, more story missions e.g does everyone get their light back and how or missions to go get it back for them. Don’t make shaders consumable, put quests on a bloody proper menu not in a weapon slot. Grimoire of lore....?? So little choice of subclass tree it’s unreal. It’s almost like Bungie want Activision to cancel the contract they have made this game so bad.

I completely agree. There are about 5 or 6 more things i could add to the list. For me what my final straw was.. is PVP. I could make a list of how bad pvp is, but i don't want to waste anymore time on this game. Make it like D1, Simple as that.

12 RepliesEdited by TheShadow-cali: 9/21/2017 2:32:45 AMBut but, didn't you see what Tess was selling? Serious though, most would expect a AAA gaming company that has been working on the same game for 10 years could at least get their act together. But, because of the higher ups this game will always be pushed out half baked. I think deadlines are more importanate nowadays then making a game an actual complete game. Gee, do ya think if this company would wake up and stick to a plan and work from there instead of constantly changing the game, that they might actually meet their deadlines? 10 years and they still don't have a clue on where the hell they are going with this game.

Leviathan Raid is gorgeous. But I mean that's something we have come to expect from Bungie. They do make amazing works of art when it comes to video games and always have been on the cutting edge of video mastery. That being said it feels more like American Ninja Warrior than a raid.

And just like that I broke down and bought it. I just can't stay away from destiny no matter how much shit I talk about it. I was actually surprised at how good it is. Glad I didn't listen to you. Lol

8 RepliesEdited by gfuup: 9/21/2017 12:41:07 PMLuke Smith should step down! After 3 years, there is no excuse for taking Destiny back into the dark ages. 1 step forward, 10 steps back! Even the companion app has gone backwards, lol.

18 RepliesEdited by Ozamataz Buckshank: 9/21/2017 4:05:18 PMI'm so pissed that pvp has destroyed pve. We go from 82+ sword ammo to 25? So wrong.

2 RepliesI do wish someone from Bungie would actually see this, it speaks volumes about what a lot of the D1 community feel and think, they lost a lot of players with Vanilla D1 and it seriously feels like they have made the same mistake, a lot of people won't wait for all the nice things to come back in each of these DLCs.
-
1: Bye and can I have your stuff, plz and thank 2: I fully agree with all of this, they screwed the pooch on a lot of the design, I don't know how they forgot everything good with D1 only to give us this. Like, they legitimately have removed a lot of the interesting things from D1 and didn't bother replacing them with anything.

1 ReplyAlot of fanboys here. He has alot of valid points.

11 Replies*Deej looks at post* Deej: "Oh no..." *Deej runs out of his house, gets in his car to get to the office. It breaks down. So he goes on foot. He crosses the deserts, climbs mountains, sail the deadly seas. He must get this information to Harold Ryan, the president of Bungie. Finally, Deej reaches his destination. He is exhausted. Deej is drenched in sweat and hardly able to breath. He could fall over dead any minute. Deej: "Mr. Ryan sir... "Ramirenzo might be quitting!" Ryan: "Who?" Deej: "Ramirenzo, sir..." Ryan: "My god...bring me the button." *Deej breaks open a glass box on the wall labeled "Use in Case of Emergency." He pulls out a button from the scattered remains and hands it to Ryan. Ryan pushes the button Confetti pops everywhere and a banner drops that reads No One Cares in bright, bold letters. A faint "Yea" can be heard in the background. Ryan: "Money well spent." *Looks over to Deej* Ryan: "Now get back to work and remember to tell me every time someone quits. I just love using this button." ~trickshot1002 ︻デ┳═ー
if you have any idea how far back I had to go to get this....
5 RepliesSee you at reset. :)

4 RepliesLol, this guy played nightfall 4 days ago. I thought you quit?
The Gauntlet - ...Also nice troll with the 'only 3 people have to make it to the end but if anyone dies the 30 second wipe timer will f*ck you', thing, that was a nice touch.
Laughed too hard at this. It's painfully true though
-
100% spot on.
-
1 ReplyNah, you'll be there for the faction rally. Probably in the nightfall after reset. I'm sure you'll raid some more. Pointless quit post is pointless
-
4 RepliesRemember they tend to add new mechanics all the time, remember when we waited for private matches? Things will change. It will be added gradually just has to be tested, if you wanted all of that at launch we would probably would've had to wait longer for release. Remember this game was made on a new base, from scratch. It takes time, their coders had to learn to use a new system to make the game. Takes time, relax, enjoy what's available, more will come.
-
1 ReplyNot a fan boy here. But the game has been out for only three weeks. Alot of the issues are known and documented. If you want to quit, that's fine and easy to do. Leaving long rants is sort of silly IMHO.
-
2 RepliesBYE. Can I have your stuff? Don't let the door hit you on the way out. See ya bro...

2 RepliesYou liked someone's comment on the forums two days ago
