Please tell me why some of you guys on the forums think No Land Beyond is OP or takes no skill to use. I am curious what your line of thinking is because....
(1) it doesn't even have that high AA.
(2) reload glitch doesn't always work, and the misfire can get you killed.
(3) It may say it is a Medium/High Impact type but it starts you off with a 292 Headshot until "The Master" is active.
(4) You still have a ridiculous flinch when being fired at, and unless the target is standing still most NLB users won't land the headshot in mid-fire fight.
(5) No one said anything about it until they nerfed snipers across the board and Clever Dragon became the meta. Literally everyone that complains about NLB only started when the new Clever-Meta started.
(6) You may spawn with Ammo but you lose having an actual primary. Like seriously? Everyone bitching when they have the most OP set up in the game. If you miss your shot, the Clever Dragon or Matador will eat you alive every time (Hell even TLW users do).
(7) NLB is only as good as your aim, it is not very forgiving with headshots because of the unique sight.
(8) It isn't a weapon that anyone can pick up and get kills with (Like the Clever Dragon or Mapadork)
(9) Mulligan sometimes -blam!-s up your reload glitch attempt so you have to wait to fire your weapon anyways.
(10) It was rated the most underused and useless exotic in the beginning. Hell people asked for buffs or tweaks with it because it was underused. Now that it is being used, people are calling it OP or needs a nerf?
Shame on all of you who disrespect NLB and it's good name. Pick it up yourself and use it until the update happens (see how OP it is then).
*Edits/Update* I had no idea my rant was going to be getting this many likes and responses. Thank you all who have discussed this, it has brought some insight and I would like to share some of my thoughts about what people are saying about the gun.
*Edit/Update #2*
A couple comments made me realize I could of been a little lengthy with my first edit and could of seemed like I was singling out some responses. Removed to keep to the point.
*Edit 3*
Critical is 292-293. Confirmed.
Have a great night Guys, I am tired and I enjoyed all the responses. It was fun and did not expect to see this post trend like it has. It was simply me getting my frustrations out of people bashing my current favorite exotic.
Have a wonderful day Guardians. Use what you like. Whether OP or not, because come the 14th this meta will change and NLB will still be my baby.

3 RepliesDoesn't bother me. If you actually take the time to do well with it go ahead and kick my ass. It's very rare I see it anyway.

1 ReplyThis touched me

Always disliked the gun and always will. Dunno why really, I just don't like it.
-
4 RepliesNLB and Chaperone most OP Loadout in game so OP you can't even equip them both. Takes absolutely no skill, just point at ground by your feet and BAM entire enemy team dead!!!!
-
2 RepliesI have respect for NLB users it's a tough gun to get a hang of in my opinion. I'm not a sniper so my opinion might not hold too much ground. I do agree that it needs to flinch like any other sniper though. I find myself in a gun fight with someone using it and I get killed after I landed 3 shots with my scout. I've been using boolean Gemini which has HCR and I remember losing a few gun fights to NLB. I tip my hat off to that person but I'd imagine landing that shot more than a few times in a match would be close to impossible.

1 ReplySure would be nice for me to use one.... oh wait it's never dropped for me.

1 ReplyToo long to read for something so petty. You need a better hobby.
-
There is a problem with the flinch on the gun when being shot especially by High Caliber, that's all that should be adjusted, otherwise the gun is great. Everyone trying to argue though that it's not OP or that it's too OP, you're both wrong, the gun is fairly balanced but the flinching - accuracy thing needs to be touched up a bit. That's all.
-
It's not OP but it somehow went from being one of the more difficult snipers to use, to being one of the easiest snipers to use
-
NLB def takes skill
-
This is a meta counter like how there should be in all games (for example in overwatch Mei and Winston counter genji and reaper counters tanks) there should be a counter for everything in the game so that not just one thing stands out if they nerf no land I mm going to washington and I'm going to deej and cozmos office and I'm just gonna bitch slap em
-
It's really only because of the flinch direction. NLB is perfectly fine, and anyone who says otherwise doesn't have much experience with the weapon.
-
9 RepliesNLB has strong ass target acquisition making it easy to land head shots & I hate when I have a weapon with high calibur rounds & it doesn't make them flinch at all smh 😧
-
Didnt read the edits, but points #5 and 6 are the ultimate trump cards imo. Thats all you needed, everything else is icing on the cake.
-
The "no flinch" is that the fire point of the gun isn't where you have flinched to, its that it sits where it was sitting. it has visual flinch but no actual in game flinch. so if you were pretty close to aiming for that headshots it will give you the kill. I have done it a few times and there are countless videos on YouTube for your viewing pleasure. No land just got more popular because everyone NEEDS their Matador.
-
It's a high skill weapon. Low flinch though. Anytime you hear "glitch" as in reload "glitch" makes you wonder wether it's being used as intended. If bungie finally puts primaries back to where they should be no land will become a non factor. It's fun to mess around with. Those who are really good with it... A tip of the cap!!
-
I just gave 3 fireteams the penis with this thing, I'm not a good sniper but this thibg makes it very easy to shoot and run away
-
1 ReplyThank you. NLB has gone untouched for a year. And now people start randomly complaining about it ....
-
I hate getting killed by it, but I respect the user when I am. It's a fun weapon to use (though I'm horrible with it) and I'm always proud of myself when I can rack up some kills with it. Some people are incredible with it.. just because I'm not doesn't mean I'll hate on them for being better than me though.
-
The only ones complaining are those that are bad with it or bad at dodging someone using it. Everyone left destiny and all that's left are trolls and crybabies.
-
I couldn't even get a headshot on a dreg with nlb lol. I tip my hat to anyone who can use nlb in pvp. Any time I get killed by one I'm like wow good for you
-
6 RepliesI never thought i would hear the day where people thought nlb was op. Main complainers are the hcr clever dragon users
-
4 RepliesI've been gone for 6 months, and now people are claiming the NO LAND BEYOND is op? That used to be the joke of the game. Now it's OP? God people always find stuff to cry about.
-
4 RepliesThat gun is really a weapon for the masters. When someone kills me with it, I say "good job" to my TV. Seriously.... You NLB users are badasses. You cry babies... Git gud.
