Start matchmaking (which, by the way, if you look at the advisor, it already says matchmaking is enabled, they probably intended to enable matchmaking with The Dawning and some dickhead with bungie corporate pulled the plug on it, and it just never filtered down to the webpage designers.) or put out a hotfix making it a guaranteed drop for completing your first nightfall bounty on an account after the hotfix. Nothing between. I played this game weekly from day one. I mostly abandoned it because of festival of the cost and the dawning. Most of all because this is the final insult. With the exception of the house of wolves weapons which had to drop a special way in year one, all other year one weapons were just added to the kiosk. When weapons that were originally left out of Taken Wallet were brought back, how did you get them? Some random bull? No. You just had to go pick them up. A reward and a "thank you" for having participated in year one when there was literally nothing to hold people to the game. Icebreaker is the only year one weapon that you're being demanded to jump through an extra hoop for, and it's done for no reason other than because rather the fantards want to admit it or not, people are abandoning this game by the hundreds and they are desperate to hold onto what's left until Destiny 2 drops. They want to force you to try and drag some of your friends back into destiny to complete three nightfalls every week. Nothing more. It's a disgrace and an insult to people who have stuck with them, so until they choose to respect players who have stuck with them through thin and thinner, bungie can blow me. I would have come back for icebreaker. Instead, It really is just the last insult. What I don't grasp is why so many idiots are okay with this. They're being openly manipulated and abused and they just ask for more. It's like literally there's nothing Bungie can't do to push them over the edge into saying "uh no." They could start charging people 100 dollars a day just to play the game and they'd still defend it. That level of fanaticism that takes implies mental illness and I think they need clinical help.

I was plagued with over one hundred ice breakers during the first year of Destiny. Than I figured out how the rng algorithm works and was plagued by gally.

I finally got one today....its trash! It takes way too long to regen ammo. Ur better off with a regular sniper. Ib isnt worth the exotic slot. There arent any cheese spots in strikes anymore(cheese spots were used to solo nfs in y1). Its what we all used ib f0r when certain strikes were the nf in y1. Archon priest, nexus, phogoth and sepiks. The cheese spots have all been fixed. There hardly is any use for ib because it regens too slow and the zoom is a bit too much. U will be doing less dps and be less useful to the team. I have a 1k stare thats pretty good. Triple tap, casket mag, outlaw and shortgaze. I can get 7 shots off if i hit all crits. Its on my titan, i also have an eirene with litc.

It took me 42 Shiro bounties to get the Thorn and nearly 60 VoG completions to get my first Gjallarhorn in Y1. I had friends who got Icebreaker on their first Zavala bounty and assumed I'd be waiting no less that 3 months. I got lucky and was rewarded on my third toon for the week last night. It really sucks dealing with random loot drops, I feel ya. Just stick with it.

It's all Bungie's strategy to keep us grinding. That is the main reason why it has a chance to drop only 3 times max/week, and on NF's only. It dropped for me on my 3rd toon of the first week. From my raid group of 6, I'm the only one who has it. Between the 6 of us, we have done 72 NF's and 1 drop from it. With such abysmal drop rate (I'm not quoting this as a drop rate, someone has already tried doing the probability) no wonder everyone is frustrated. At least they can make it a chance to drop from any of Zavala's bounties for the week. That way at least it increases to 9 tries a week (assuming doing all 3 charactes). I never got the IB to drop for me in Y1 and all my friends had it. I was frustrated but kept me going. I still remember that feeling when I got my gally(I had a party with my friends). Someway, the feeling of satisfaction gets bigger the harder/longer it takes to get an exotic. That's what I liked about Y1. We were all just fine without the ToC. NF's and raids were our primary sources of exotic drops.

I'm not sure if your a year one player, but acquiring those exotics for some would take a lot longer than you are waiting now. You'll get it just be patient, play the game. Nowadays acquiring exotics is no where near as memorable as in year one. Most if not all year one players will be able to tell you exactly how they acquired Ghally, Icebreaker, Hawkmoon or the exotic they longed for. What activity and who they were playing with.

There is no random generater because you ca not put random into a computer. You are given a seed number which is why the streamers always get lucky.

This game is hell bent on forcing its player base elsewhere. I convinced a buddy who had deleted Destiny to re download it. He took a look at the "new content" , reviewed Zavalas bounties and was told how to earn the icebreaker and deleted the game again. 😇

But I'm not going to come on here and complain about it. You just look like a crying child that didn't get what they want. If everyone got it first day then no one will do the NF. I know I won't when I get it. But that's just me. I don't speak for everyone else. Just play the game to have fun and if you didn't get it then try again next week.
