United thread for PS4 Corrupted data Reinstalling and New update PLEASE BUMP SO BUNGIE KNOWS HOW MANY ARE BEING AFFECTED

If you are having this issue please bump and leave a comment this is simply to let bungie know how many people are being affected. UPDATE: After talking to most everyone in the forums I have found out that most everyone having this issue have bought all previous DLC and purchased the standalone ROI add-on instead of Destiny the Collection. This is a big factor in the issue at hand. (Sending SOS signals to Bungie..) UPDATE 2: I am hearing from a couple different people that if your service provider is MEDIACOM then you could be having issues downloading stuff from psn servers. Does anyone else run MEDIACOM? (that is my service provider) UPDATE 3: I want to thank everyone for there input every little clue will help us diagnose the problem. UPDATE 4: Ok so this seems to be isolated with MEDIACOM's service. This sounds crazy but if we all call MEDIACOM our collective inquiry may get a solution to this network issue. UPDATE 5: Dawn of the 4th day without Destiny, Not heard a whole lot on a game plan or anything on either side. There are confirmed reports of people using Verizon and ATandT hotspots also confirmed on Comcast ISP, if you have access to any of those options I would try them out. Also feel free to make friends in this time of crisis and corruption. If anyone has found anything else let me know, ill be searching most of the day today (updated 9/22) UPDATE 6: So I have heard multiple times that you need to wipe the console or your HDD is messed up, these are all false forms of trying to diagnose a problem in there networking. Nothing is wrong with your console people its how your ISP communicates with PSN. Please just try another ISP I can confirm that it is in fact Mediacoms connection or a combination of Console updates not working with the Application updates regardless my brothers Frontier connection is getting farther then mine ever did. Check back later to find out if it downloads successfully (should be around 6hrs from now slow connection speed). UPDATE 7: Just got off the phone with Sony (7th time) the rep I spoke to a couple days ago gave me a list of port numbers to activate so I opened the ports no big deal didn't see any change. The rep I just spoke with today informed me that the other rep gave me the wrong port numbers she also stated that these new port numbers should work 100% if not then they will escalate it to there engineering team. The list of port numbers are (She said you have to have all ports open for it to work): TCP - 80, 443, 465, 993, 3478, 3479, 3480, 5223, 8080, 9293, 10050, 10051, 10040-10060 UDP - 2053, 3478, 3479, 3658, 6000-7000, 9304, 9296, 9297, 9303, 10070, 50000-60000 Try these out and tell me if they work, I am going to let my download finish on FRONTIER ISP but please let me know if you have any success with these. (Also take note of your IP address when you get these set up you need to make a custom connection for them to be active) UPDATE 8: JUST HAD A BREAKTHROUGH! Ok so I used my brothers Frontier ISP to start my download when I went back to check on it I seen that it was going to take 66hrs to install (he runs 800kb : <) so I ended up pausing the download at 2gb took my console home to just trouble shoot again I used my smaller ethernet cable its a cat6 ran that to my ps4 and resumed the download at my place (60mb per second) I figured it would give me an error but it is chugging along got about 5 hours left! If this works Im going to freak out. Also on another smaller note I have contacted Sony one last time in a ditch effort to pull information out of them. I ended up escalating it to there engineering sector they are calling Bungie and told me to contact them in about 3 hours to hear the results, I stressed to Sony how we don't really have a dedicated customer support on Bungie's site so the lady said they would contact them for us. I will make the call later if others are still having issues I WANT EVERYONE TO BE ABLE TO PLAY AND NOT FEEL SO HOPELESS ABOUT THIS ISSUE CAUSE WE ARE NOT HEARING A GAME PLAN! UPDATE 9: I played last night so it is a definite confirm on the ISP jumping method, just pay close attention to where your download freezes (this is a huge factor). Use your alternate form of internet to jump passed those points then switch to your original ISP. Some of the points that most people run into are the 207.5mb and 17gb ranges. Just stick with it you will be able to play if you run this method. I wish everyone luck and hopefully we get to play sometime. PS I would like to add a lot of people from this thread as friends on PS4, just in case we have another issue like this we can work together again to find a solution.   • We have Mediacom and are having issues. I had my son use his phone as a hotspot and it downloaded with no issue. So trying a different isp may be an option.

    • So I got mine to work and wanted to at least pass this on to everyone. All I did was connect to someone's phone via Verizon mobile hotspot. Nothing special. Didn't do any clearing of my cache or reinitializing or reinstalling the whole game or any of that other bs we were told to try. Simply started the download and it went all the way without a problem. If anyone else can try this or try another ISP and get theirs to work, I would love to team up with anyone to play. PSN tag is the same as my username here. Hope to see some of you soon.

      Rise of iron wont work I paid for rise of iron update...afterb download...it was not connecting to psn server. I did a ps database reset. All games and apps on console work except destiny which had a pause sign on destiny after i inserted disc. I deleted that and am now starting over another download. I WANT A REFUND. I PAID FOR TAKEN KING PRIOR TO THIS....NOW I CANT PLAY ANYTHING. BUNJIE PLEASE RESPOND. Fix or full refund of Taken King Disc and Rise of Iron Update plz

        • In Australia here, ISP is Skymesh, bought the collection on disc, can't download patch to play the game, what a waste of time and money.

        • My other problem is I can't sleep cause of my ocd induced obsession to get this downloaded and I've not slept since the night of the 18th. I wonder how much more I can actually take before I die from exhaustion?

        • Ok I'm sick of this. I've literally attempted to download Destiny 787 times now with the same ressults... It downloads to 207.5 than stalls for thirty minutes and crrupts. I want my $100 Dollars back.

            Update guys Just had an all out with my ISP, Mediacom. I pushed and wheedled my way in and got a nugget of info. Sony has filed the suite to Bungie that there is an issue with Mediacom ISP users which will force Bungie to act a little more quickly hopefully. But now we can say there's an official recognition and the ball has been placed in Bungie's court. We have a definite path forming to a solution.

                • For all who restored there PS4 how many of you have ran into other games corrupting im now up to 3, makes me wonder if this isn't the newest PS4 update causing all these problems!!!

                  • I run Mediacom and most of the Destiny players in my town do as well as it is the only DSL service available. The total amount of people in my town doing without is 340 cause everyone else here plays Call of Duty or Battlefield
