Title.
It'd be nice to know...
Edit: To those of you saying it would promote hate mail: wouldn't a low kill count also promote hate mail? People don't really hate on eachother for low kill count after a strike, so why would they do it for this?
This would simply be another statistic that we can look at and use for self evaluation and improvement. They should also add other stats such as assists, total damage dealt, orbs generated, majors killed, how long it took, revives, etc. It can be useful information to help us better our performance all around.
For groups of friends who play with eachother consistently, it could even promote some friendly competition.
Edit 2: Someone mentioned showing what medals you earned after each Crucible match. I like this idea a lot too! We need to see how well we did Bungie! More stats can't hurt. Negative people will always be negative and they'll send hate mail regardless. If you get hate mail, who cares? You finished the strike, ignore them. Use the stats to your advantage so you can improve your play, it's beneficial to new guardians and experienced veterans alike. We all have room for improvement.

I don't really see the point in doing it but not really against it. However... if bungie were to add this let me sum up some of the reaction... "Oh wow bungie you did something so stupid, you could have done more pressing matters! Screw you bungie

5 RepliesEdited by Richbwoii: 8/16/2016 8:09:12 PMThis just encourages seeing who's better and trash talk on the bottom players. I can already see what would happen as it happens already with what we have. " - Look at you low damage! You didn't help scrub! - Yeh but I killed like all the ads idiot. - You're trash blah blah blah..." Honestly I don't give a damn as it wouldn't affect me or my gameplay but I disagree with that suggestion.

You really don't know this community very well.
-
Why would it promote hate. You can already tell in a strike if someone isnt doing boss damage they are dead or clearing adds. Adding a boss dmg stat would just help you find the best methods for killing that boss
-
yeah i wouldn't mind teammates with low kill counts if i could see that they had done significant damage to the boss or vice versa but as it stands when i see someone with a low kill count i just assume they did nothing to help since they apparently struggle to kill normal enemies

13 RepliesWhy??

1 ReplyI like this. F all the pvp crap.

Agreed. Also seeing the medals and how many and what escalating they were from after crucible matches would be nice a la Halo post-game reports.
-
Seems like a good statistic to add.

1 ReplyI wouldn't mind this, but just like a parser...it would be abused. I think Kill Count & Assist are good enough. As Assist shows players that said player is contributing. In games where players run Parser's it causes what I call: "Induced Stupidity" Basically, players become obsessed with dps/topping the charts that they no longer dodge attacks, follow mechanics, and etc. Instead they just focus the boss. This often leads to wipes, or 1 or 2 people completing the mechanics. Those same people are often kicked for having low dps as a result. True, I haven't seen a Vote Kick in Destiny so I guess it wouldn't be too bad. But some players get enough Hate mail for regular Crucible games. I'd hate to get mail because I chose to focus the snipers that prevented us from killing ___ boss. Or I grabbed the orb so we could damage the boss, and etc.

1 ReplyGreat idea!

Please do.

4 RepliesI've wondered about a damage stat on boss for a long time. Sometimes I just wanna see how me and my sleeper did against a boss. Wouldn't promote anything but a sense of accomplishment really. Put a boss damage stat bungie.
-
1 ReplyTo anyone saying it promotes hate mail, doesn't having a crucible kill/death list at the end of a match, too? Maybe we should just remove all stats so no scrubs feelings get hurt.

1 ReplyBullet-Sponge Boss got hit by 35,791 bullets, 64 nades and 4 supers. It took you 47 minutes to kill it and 5 minutes to pass all the little foes. That would look like....
-
1 ReplyAnd low kill counts doesn't promote hate either. If I am running Nightstalker with black hole and I have two warlocks with storm caller, they will have more kills but I will have more assists. Not to mention a proper defender titan will be more of a support role and not get as many kills as a Sunbreaker due to supers alone. And as defender you should have it set up so they almost always have a super.
