Title.
It'd be nice to know...
Edit: To those of you saying it would promote hate mail: wouldn't a low kill count also promote hate mail? People don't really hate on eachother for low kill count after a strike, so why would they do it for this?
This would simply be another statistic that we can look at and use for self evaluation and improvement. They should also add other stats such as assists, total damage dealt, orbs generated, majors killed, how long it took, revives, etc. It can be useful information to help us better our performance all around.
For groups of friends who play with eachother consistently, it could even promote some friendly competition.
Edit 2: Someone mentioned showing what medals you earned after each Crucible match. I like this idea a lot too! We need to see how well we did Bungie! More stats can't hurt. Negative people will always be negative and they'll send hate mail regardless. If you get hate mail, who cares? You finished the strike, ignore them. Use the stats to your advantage so you can improve your play, it's beneficial to new guardians and experienced veterans alike. We all have room for improvement.

I like it. It would be funny as hell when they see I did no damage to the boss, and spent the entire fight killing mobs.
-
I like this idea bro, it would be great to see if one is using say a black spindle and the other sleeper simulant. We really could see the dps add up.
-
7 RepliesWhat about the guys who clean up the adds and don't really focus on the boss? That's what i like to do and feel it contributes to helping the team. I still do damage to the boss but if i see adds coming at me or at my teammates i focus on them. And i'm pretty sure i'm not the one doing the most damage to the boss most of my games. Doesn't seem like a fair stat.
-
It's a good idea. My friend always focuses on bosses while I kill adds. It makes him look bad even though he's actually doing a lot.
-
I like the idea, something I have thought as well 👍
-
Yes I agree with everything you said in this post, I've wsnted all these things for a long time. Good work bringing it up!!
-
Last Night I soloed the Knight with my a full 68 ammo void sword cause of Void Burn. The other two guys literally applauded. They don't get any hate mail I was just being a little risky.
-
I think this would be good actually For curiosity sake and also for those moments where the other two people are doing such a good job on ads that I can just damage the boss. When it's randoms I always wonder if they think I was useless the whole strike when they've got more kills than me.
-
When I do strikes I run storm caller. And anyone who's played this game knows, that when you run with a storm caller the dude will double your kill count I'd the guy knows what he is doing. With that being said, when I do omnigul, I kill everything around my teammates so they do ALL the damage to the boss. So if I have near 200 kills, and I got hate mail for not doing damage to the boss, I'd just laugh it off
-
I like that idea, I know a few times in strikes I have gone all the way through the strike maybe gotten the boss down to 50% when other players join in and then it is purely a guessing match as to how much of the boss demise you are responsible for, I also liked one of the comments suggesting a tally for orbs created.
-
I would love to see this in percentage format along with number of orbs created. Just for fun.

I like this. More stats the better.
-
Not a bad idea. Though that stat isn't everything. Clearing or controlling adds is half the battle too.

Edited by goldstarlestelle: 8/17/2016 2:54:17 PMI could not care less about boss damage stats in strikes. Bosses in strikes are not hard to kill or need to be killed quickly because of some doomsday mechanic. For team recognition I would much more prefer a player who contributed to mob kill, orb production or assists. If someone thinks just contributing to boss damage is a good thing. They should rethink that idea. The stat i would like posted is how many mobs someone ran past without contributing. Having said all that Iam not opposed to boss damage stat. I just hope ppl dont think its important.
-
How about a stat called minutes spent AFK
-
Very good suggestion im always curious who did how much i personally focus adds more so that nobody dies.
-
8 RepliesI think this would be horrible for strikes with randoms. Just focusing on the boss leaving all the adds for me. Oh wait.. that is already what is happening. Bring it on, I'd like to see it. Also wish you could check it in the raid without wiping to do it
-
Edited by Jamesxgamz: 8/17/2016 4:44:01 PMWhat about total damage dealt? This way, the prima donnas who just concentrate on the bosses can see that people have spent the time to deal with the adds which would have kept killing them if they had been left Edit: also the people who only look at kill can appreciate that the person who took downtime boss made a contribution while they were padding their stats with the easy kills
-
Should be very simple to implement, already in the raid (unless im mistaken), so i don't see it being a huge task for the devs.
-
Love the idea. The more stats the better.
-
Really like this. If anything, it would do the opposite of promoting hate mail. The people who get low kills are usually the ones who focus all fire on the boss
-
Honestly it doesn't matter in raids or strikes...it only makes you mad when the guy, who did the least amount of damage to atheon or least amount of kills, gets gjallarhorn
-
1 ReplyIt's already in King's Fall for several of the bosses, and it's a useful stat. I don't see it being as necessary in strikes though, as they aren't anywhere near so complex. I fear the actual derived uses would be showboating and harassing other players.
-
8 RepliesTerrible idea. All this would do is make people think damage is the only thing that matters in the game and cause them to take unnecessary risks to pump up their damage and discourage the use of supportive subclasses.
-
2 RepliesI think it would be a neat stat to have show. I like how that info is displayed when you wipe in the KF raid. Thought it was pretty cool to see if damage was being distributed evenly across everyone in your fireteam or if someone was doing a bit of backpacking.
